What about using wood?
Maybe I could get cinderblocks
This isn’t mine this is just something that’s in the back yard of my girls house for some reason. But what if I build something similar and put cinderblocks on the feet somehow

usually wood is frowned upon as it is loves to burn… its also a sanitary surface. try cleaning some leaks off of wood vs metal and you will quickly agree wood isnt the right choice. but it is still better than columns leaning against a wall.
I highly recommend Misumi USA for configuring aluminum profiles. They typically ship next day with extremely high cut tolerances. They also provide the T-Nuts and brackets needed. You may end up spending slightly more than extrusion direct from China, but their logistics and cut-tolerances more than make up for the additional price.
If you want to get super fancy, you can import the extrusions to Fusion 360 or Solidworks to mock it up.
Anchor it, maybe on wheels if you need it mobile
Throw some strut on it, a few split ring pipe hangers your good
I’d use it. Sure wood will burn, but if you have a fire, that wooden stand is going to be the last of your worries.
Make yourself a real rack for very cheap at 80/20
I did the same thing with conduit tracks. Shits strong as hell and you can just unbolt it and reconfigure it
does anyone have any old 5in rack hangers or new for that matter.
or another route I can go bc bvv says 4-5 months
only thing I liked better about the bvv design was had the weight more spread out
looks like I’m gonna try these and either welded a npt nipple to the stand or drill hole and stick the bolt size I need through it
I need an 1.5" lol bvv has those. for my sieve
These work fine, I’m using 2 on my 4x48 material column. No signed off breakage yet (and when I’m packing my column I don’t take it easy lol)
howd u mount the nipple it needs , what 1/2 female npt…either a bolt through hole I drill or weld an end a bolt to the stand…probably drill it and stick the right length bolt into the stand and tighten the clamp down then
im buying these now
Drill a hole, stick this through hole, use a lock washer and nut
That’s what I did anyways (minus drilling the hole, I mounted mine to the wall with a small piece of shop racking that already had holes)
how long is this bolt on back…will it go through 1.5" square tubing
That’s going to be close…
Let me check. It will be like 30 minutes, I’m making dinner lol
thanks buddy
also does the hanger have male or female npt?
male right?
Male npt
I’m looking at these
