I add a little bit to my tea brew. I also am trying out power SI in granular form. I sprinkled a bit on top of each pot. The tub is a 500g container and I maybe used 400g on 54 pots.
Nice!
Their soil mixes are great and lots of the bags are teeming with Stratiolaelaps scimitus.
As far as soluble MSA, I think PowerSi has the lowest price right now.
EDIT: I think Recycle-Sil might have them beat as long as you are doing soil or soilless like coco.
Definitely saved a nice amount buying directly from recycle sil
Here is an update. I used 150lbs of Cal Nit per 55 gallons of water and fed at roughly 1:300. The 150lbs of Cal Nit made 15k+(I’m sure I will get another 400gal out of it) of nutrien solution. Those bags are pretty cheap of Yara Cal Nit.
You can 't go wrong with Yara Cal Nit. I used Haifa Cal Prime for a minute for the extra Calcium, but the extra $13 for a 50-lb bag adds up quickly.
Thank you very much for relaying that info!
Use salts and organics together. Doesn’t really matter brands.
I’ve had good luck with veg/bloom and nectar and also front row akd Aurora products
Super soil plus salts works good too
Salts by themselves give you mids organics by themselves give you baby yields in my experience
Bio bizz is awesome stuff
Tossed the 5 gallons ay the bottom and refilling.

To be totally honest. Ours is. We have been in the business of making cannabis specific nutrients for more the 20years. Nobody can beat our price or our quality. We are 60% less expensive the General Hydroponics and 3 times more concentrated. We 75% cheaper the Advanced and twice as concentrated . 90% of what you buy when you plant nutrients is water with cheap low cost sulphate mineral salts tossed in… We use nitrates as opposed to sulphates which is what the rest of the industry uses . Low grade sulphates they are cheap. We use quality ingredients and make or nutrients fresh to order making sure that our users always get fresh high quality. Products. I just bid a commercial legal operation that has 22000 sq ft of canopy they will consume 1,440,890 gallons of H20 nutrient mix over the next year requiring 9880 gallons per part of fertilizer. General Hydro.5 part FLORA MICRO SERIES (sulphates) WITH KOOL BLOOM AND FULVIC SUPPLEMENTS came in over 1,000,000 dollars. I bid a 5 part with 2 added supplements using premium quality nitrates at 60% less cost. Plus we truck the nutrients to the farms spend time answering questions and showing ways to adjust the formula if desired for peak proformance in fiull vege and preload for bloom and we take back their empties. Advanced, GH , Botanicar, Humboldt. Fox Farms , Greenfire Nobody is providing service . Our goal is to teach people to become better more conscious more informed gardeners . Knowledge is power and power is what the people need right now. We like to empower people .
Woof. I ran a hydro store for quite a few years. I’m glad they work for you, but they are one of the worst for the hydro store “green tax”. It’s literally pennies of salts dilluted to pay for advertising.
Here are some of my favorites: Jack’s hydro 5-12-26/Cal Nit, Masterblend, Jack’s TAP, Oasis HydroFeed, HGV nutes and Front Row Ag. You will be paying pennies per gallon versus dollars with hydro store brands.
So between front row and hgv what would you recommend?
Im glad HGV uses Nitrates also.
Anyone using Athena? Just replaced current culture with it and seems to work real good in a sterile hydroponic application.
I also totally agree with @pdxcanna … I owned a hydroponic Distributor for years (Anyone wants to guess which one??? From 2005-2013)
If outdoors:
The raw in bulk is what we did outdoors for years in bulk.
If indoors in soil: Foxfarm Nutrients & Soil (I liked Happy Frog and Ocean Forest (3:1 mix with pearlite).
If indoors in coco: I liked GH in coco for some reason +some amendments from Botanicare. I also had awesome success with a company called HESI which had a coco schedule and added Bontanicare and GH ammendments. I always did 75% Coco and 25% Chunky Pearlite.
If indoors in Hydro: I am not even sure if they make them anymore but I liked cultured solutions. It was so clean with other clean amendments it was amazing.
Getting to know your system takes time the base nutrients plus CaliMagic from GH, some stim for clones/young plants (every company has their own (i.e. Rapid Start from GH, Rhizotonic from Canna), and then some sugars and bud boosters (Kool Bloom, Cha- Ching etc)
Sorry for my horrible spelling errors, it’s been a few years and I just don’t have the time to remember and spell check the names of the companies hopefully I got it right … I miss growing … and owning the distributor… we tried all the nutrients… and all the methods from Soil to DWC to Bubbleponic Undercurrent it was fun and interesting. General Hydro with Kool Bloom and some extras was always the crowd favorite for bang for the buck but in soil Fox Farm did win me over. And I was not a fan of Big John’s nutrients
