Alright, what is this magic box?!? Found this:

Now Iā€™m super curious too :woman_shrugging:

Not gonna lie but it looks like their solution is last years oven tek in stainless steel ovens versus AI ovens.

Has anyone on the forum actually seen the equipment and can verify that it works?

Thatā€™s what Iā€™m thinking lol. It used propylene glycol and water. Not sure what the water is for but possibly the propylene glycol is used as a heat transfer fluid?

I had a conversation with Simon today from Delta 9 Solutions, mostly just for fun and to pick his brain. Iā€™m attaching the documentation he sent me in a follow up e-mail. I did not get much info. He did mention that water never touches the distillate and is only used on the right side for recovery of THC fraction. He would not talk at all about methodology of remediation besides saying that vibrations and temperature within the processing unit is what helps the THC get carried over to the waste stream side.

$500k for a system that can remediate 40-70 liters a day seems a bit steep to me.

Simon seemed like a nice guy. Yeah, $500k is a chunk of change. Whatā€™s the going rate for remediation charges these days? $750/kg? Soā€¦ 10ish batches of 70L to theoretically recoup investment?

Harmonic Distillation? What the hell? Is this black box of a thing stirring it up and blasting the tank with what they found to be the resonance frequency of THC? Craaazyā€¦

I know some of the guys there.

Aloha @DaKine Iā€™m Hawaiian born and raised! We moved the company to Colorado at the end of this past year. Great to meet you.

Hey gang. Interesting conversation on the Delta9 (now REM Technologies) remediation program. We (Vanguard Scientific) have just added this piece to our portfolio after months of due diligence. Very happy with what weā€™ve seen and glad to get more info out to anyone in the market.

Happy remediating.

Whatā€™s the price

Can anyone show me lab reports showing THC in the waste stream/water reservoir? I have yet to see one. Are we sure this unit is nothing more than a well controlled thermal degradation of THC?

I wonder if the REM vessels actually do take 350+man hours to mfg, they appear to me to be a standard issue vessel for the brew industry. Either these guys are good at misdirection or they have something really neatā€¦my mind isnt made up yet.

Does the unit utilize an acoustic transmitter? I hear the terms ā€œresonanceā€ and ā€œHarmonicā€ being thrown around in convos about this system, which i feel are both convoluted ways to distract from how this operation actually works.

It seems to me like good marketing to try and appeal to hippie talk about ā€œvibrationsā€. I doubt that has anything to do with it.

Indeed, some interesting language happening. Harmonics usually are in the context of being generated by distorted signal in audio, acoustically working similarly but requires resonance of the acoustic space to generate the extra tone(s). Electrically, I donā€™t know as much about but itā€™s the same principal. Resonance usually means a frequency is amplified by the of the space itā€™s being reflected in. Itā€™s selective based on the relationship between the distance between the reflective surfaces and the length of the waveform. For example a single note on a piano could be much louder because itā€™s bouncing back and forth but due to the wavelength, it can increase in amplitude more so than all the others. If this results in distortion because the percussive mallet that strikes the string inside very hard, then harmonics can be generated (like harmonics on guitar strings by aggressively striking the string with a pick at an angle) In the application of PA tuning, one would employ a ā€œsearch and destroyā€ technique by turning an amplifier up on a channel strip, and sweeping the frequency bandwith (usually set to as narrow as possible) to pinpoint the offending frequency then notching it out- so depending on the effect vibrations have on cannabinoids, you could target a compound. Those effects I know nothing about, but the square shape is conducive to creating resonance to some specific frequencies. Iā€™d like to learn more about it now that I wrote this really long winded post.

haha nice post. As a music lover this is pretty interesting regarding this albeit new and made up method ā€œharmonicsā€. The price is rightā€¦what do you think of the loss? By volume (5% volume loss) it is reasonable Iā€™d say but cannabinoid (15% cannabinoid loss including delta 9) may be a bit steep? Either way, solvent-free sounds great. No recovery time to add. We are setting up a demo in the near future. Iā€™ll share our experience

Would love to hear what your experience was like. Iā€™ve been running one for the last 2-3 weeks and after a couple hundred kilos through it ā€¦Iā€™ve had some issues to say the least.

Iā€™ve been running one for the last 2-3 weeksā€¦itā€™s certainly not chromotography. Itā€™s one of two things and I canā€™t put my finger on which yet, or if itā€™s a combo of the two. Seems to boil off some of the THC and degrade/convert some at the same time. We consistantly see delta 8 where there was none before. the machine Has reliably produced non detectable crude (below 0.07% thc using botanacor) but weā€™ve continually seen that number go to as high as .9% Delta 9 after first pass distillation. I personally have never seen am amplification of more than 10 fold on any cannabinoid using SPD. This to me suggests degradation or conversion. On average we lose about 15% of our cannabinoid content. The guys at delta first said it must be the ethanol in our oil from our FFE and have now moved on to insist itā€™s our short pathsā€¦ Though I canā€™t wrap my head around how a leaky or poorly run short path run would ever increase your delta 9 ā€¦any one have any questions or comments?

Absolutely not. No way itā€™s more than 12 hours manufacturing.

Its a 70L vessel thats stainless steel with a jacket and a lid and a topmount motor. 2 - 55 gallon plastic drums and a pump for your glycol and a pump for your water
