What you show in photo…? The aqueous phase seems to be a THCA-water-ethanol micelle…not water.

Ratio is around 1.5:1 probably of heptane to THCa by mass

Do u always add pentane to help evaporate the heptane solution?

Pentane will evaporate fairly completely. The heptane is added in order to keep the solvent from 100% evaporating.
Use only heptane if the evaporation needed is minimal like in this case where I’m trying to crystallize slowly
