Diameter is irrelevant as long the volume Of the vessel is where you need it.

ive used the cylinder volume calc lots
the main answer to the thread is to get a magnifier and see if its still full of trichs with heads. If its not then you got what was there.
what strain was that? Looks like cookies, there is a problem with 5 percent. That weed looks like it should yield 20 percent at least. Explain your process. I looked back and it says you didnt break up the buds? Thats your answer, Itll be dry now and you break it up and rerun it and I bet youll get over 10 percent on the 2nd run
I got nothing, maybe try a higher solvent ratio, like you said you have already, or add a ten minute soak? That shouldn’t be too long to pulls unwanted if everything is cold.
It’s platinum punch. I did break up the FF pretty well with a mallet while it was -40, tho I don’t typically break up my dry material as it’s trim/lowers
I think that’ll be my next move
Where are you located
i could offer help too if you were local it looks like it must be a pain to move the collection in and out of the can. A rack mount is as simple as a board and a few rack mount clamps.
Im doing a similiar setup as i have the icarus 5lb. I fit 2.5lb into it. Idc what people say. Soft pack works better for my passiveness. I fit 11lb max tane into my system. Cant get more in. So 4 to 1 soak. I dont have a sleeve, not a fan anyways. I remove column and put into a wooden box and cover with dry ice for 40 min. Then put back together and ready to fill with tane. Let tane soak in material for about 15 minutes. Then blast. Recovery takin about an hour. But yielding close to 20% this way. Half trim/bud.
That live game sure has a greater risk / reward with them margins.
Thata why i like to cut down, trim, dry 7 days then freezer
Definitely glad to be taking my time towards this climb. Math is important for this to work for me.
Do you vac down your packed column before putting in dry ice? If you didn’t, wouldn’t the cooling material be pulling in moisture from the atmosphere?
Have you tried making badder prepping material like this? Do you still pull off a nice wet consistency?
Do you have the gas going threw a condensing coil before and after? Are you passive or active?
For low yeilds like others said it seems your not getting enough gas threw the material. There may be a vapor lock preventing that depending on your set up.
I think we need some more info on the set up. Draw a diagram of how you have all the hoses ran and post it. If the gas doesnt flow correct it could cause low yeilds.
I dont vac tube until i set it on rack to be ran. Putting it on ice with valves closed gets it to about minus 10 pressure. Then i vac from recovery chamber to my tank like normal. After 3 days slabs are purged. Flipping once a day. Then i leave a slab in oven, crank to 97 degrees. Usually badders up by next morning. I prefer slab tho for easier longer storage
Take your slab, put another parchment on top and get yourself a food saver system and vac seal the slabs.
I’m running passive, inject through two coils and recover through one. In the pic I posted, one injection coil is in the home depot bucket, and one in the drink cooler. The recovery coil is also on the drink cooler. Could definitely put a diagram together though
Now that I think about it, I’m sure part of my problem is that my scale is on the solvent tank, and I’m not compensating for the ~3lb it takes to fill my injection coils
