The first time I ever tried CBD, I smoked thc about 45 minutes later and it had no effect. I though that was pretty interesting.
You have to add a derivitization agent that basically binds to the carboxylic acid group and prevents it from decarbing. I used a silating reagent. You mix it with the sample in a tiny vial and then inject. My experience was that its not a challenging thing to do (but my perspective is that of someone with much microliter syring experience) but if acidic cannabinoids are going to be a major part of what you are looking to quantify then HPLC would make more sense
