Still Available for Work in (Southern) California

The library or admissions job would just be a placeholder until I finish my degree and go into the career I want. Hopefully pay off my debt before graduating. I’d rather do that than doordash, mcdonalds, walmart, etc… I’m turning 30 next year, and while that’s not insanely old, I’m only getting older and I’m tired. I can’t keep hustling. I have a lot of work experience, it should count for something. I understand this is a very controversial view, but I shouldn’t have to do the hustle again. More power to the people who have the will to do so.

totally get it, even at my slightly lower age my joints are aching bad from all the “grinding” i’ve done over the years.

I think it’s great you are so confident in yourself and your experience. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before someone recognizes it

keeping a balance is always the key to life. It’s all dependent on your mental power and what type of person you are and how your brain operates.

good for you for quitting tho!

I don’t really see why you couldn’t enjoy a smoke on the weekends or even once a blue moon- is it because you have problems with addiction and think you’ll slip back to daily use if you touch it again? that’s again a mental willpower problem at it’s root. avoiding the drug is not really the answer, IMO. as far as that goes.

but, who am I. if it helps your anxiety and whatnot good for you. I only get anxiety if i abuse weed. i have a similar problem to you just a different approach for a solution.

I’m definitely not demonizing smoking weed. I’m sure I will reach a point where I want to smoke a doobie here and there. I am just Feeling better than I ever have so I don’t really see a need for it currently!

That is awesome you found what works best for you! I misread and thought your goal was to never smoke again . I agree with your mindset that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! so if your well being improved no reason to smoke for sure. plus you’re saving money and will get more dopamine release from regular activities like normal sober people, LOL!!!

I turned cannabis into my morning pick me up and bedtime assistance. Nothing throughout the day usually. Dialed back on the Jack and quit cold turkey on cigarettes in June. It’s put more money in my pocket and bettered my attitude. No hang overs lol.

Vs chain smoking / dabbing / binging a bottle… :skull:

I can agree productivity is up at an all time high :joy: and I’m looking at buying a new home because of it. Thinking about Vegas. If anyone has anything between 500-800k for sale :upside_down_face:

I always pass my drug tests and show my medical cards. So it’s awkward because they know I smoke, but nothing shows. Cheap tests I chalk it up to. I’m sure it’s game over for some, but a lot of places just mouth swab and if you don’t smoke that day you’re fine.

Idk. Paulo Azule / QuickFix / Zydot and other methods work too.
Js you can still get the opportunity if you want it bad enough.

Any temp job can turn into a permanent job. I went through a temp service when I was younger and took a horrible job stripping die cut plastic by hand. I worked hard and showed initiative and was promoted and hired within a few months. After a few years I was running a shipping department and implementing a 200% QC program saving the company millions, then running both shipping departments, with an offer to get an office job. The president and VP would come down every day to talk to me, asking how things are going. I worked my way up from the bottom and so can most with a good work ethic and a lot of hard work.

I also was busted with weed and went to jail but got work release and kept my job. This was in a very conservative community. Companies want good workers they can trust. If you’re that guy they are going to work hard to keep you. This was a pretty big company for reference but likely one no one here has ever heard of.

I don’t see where your getting that from. There’s a limit for the amount you can eat is all I was saying.

If you are delivering someone else’s food shouldn’t you not eat any of it? Maybe I don’t understand how these apps work, I haven’t ever used one before. Lol

I’ve definitely seen this at dominos, albeit with a small slice

hourly workers typically won’t just take the whole meal like doordash/uber eats seem to

Yes you absolutely shouldn’t eat more than one delivery a day otherwise you will be banned from the apps

Lmfao, yeah I’ll tell ya, when I was a pizza delivery boy I definitely don’t remember any viral slice stealing hacks. But my boss let us take home whole meals for free, I’d bake my own pizza with a side of pepperoncinis and a lil dessert after every shift. Can’t be stealing people’s food like that.

And sorta off topic, but I remember delivering to a rich house/mansion in Coral Gables and a mom in just a towel answered the door and gave me a $40 tip. Like some Stacy’s mom type shit. Nothing happened but I didn’t think that cliché was actually real lmao, might’ve been the best tip I made tho.

Moral of the story guys, deliver the whole meal and someone’s mom might give you a lil sugar.

Any restaurant I have ever worked at always gave me at least 1 free meal per shift. Lots of times more. Worked at one place where I would even get to take home dinner for my wife and our kid (only had one at the time) every night.

Not saying this justifies the shit pay and lack of benefits, but I never felt the need to eat part of someone’s meal lol

By your responses and knowing how much you can get away with, yeah id say if you eat even a frie you should be banned.

Instead of a tip there should be an option in the app to lemme eat a fry or two

If you play with peoples food. Who knows what you are doing to their “medicine “. And if in the herb business explain to us why you deliver foods? Does Cali cover hemp with the food stamp?

Kinda what the tip is for. Sounds like now it is also for thanking someone for not messing with something that isn’t theres.
