Stabilizing crc slabs

So, I guess back to the topic from 2 years ago…

I have a bossman who wants hard shatter from CRC because, well, fuck me? Other than adding fats back (or pine sap) anyone come up with good tips? Just redissolve a bunch of diamonds with a tiny bit of terps and purge the solvent as fast as humanly possible?

Try drying material more before running.

might try running your oven at 45 or even 50C and sucking real hard?

the lack of color might balance out the color disadvantage of running so warm.

We run an ever-so-slight inert gas sparge which seems to pretty much kick any discoloration issues because any oxygen leaking in is displaced (benefits of an oversized vacuum pump). My concern is more with accidental decarb, I had a couple lots come back like 10-15% decarb’d despite never being above 40C. Time/integral being relevant, I guess an important question is how much D9 will make shatter not shatter?

Did I forget to mention y’all needs to be quick about it?

My bad

Quick is certainly the name of the game. I can make that solvent get outta there in a hurry, I just feel bad for my vacuum pump lol. I really need to get on that DIY -80C chiller to trap this stuff properly, I hate dry ice
