I bought a 50 shot a loooong time ago. I had filled a few thousand carts with it and I was getting real sick of I threading the thing and decided to design what I call the flavor saver. Jacketed tank, hooked to recirculating heater, couple npt fittings with a valve and a luer lock. Now I never have to unthread that dam barrel again.
The cost of everything was ~2000 because I needed a heater (1,200). Literally the day it all arrives, I find the cart farmer website and put my palm through my face. Not a huge deal, I can do 1000 carts per hour no sweat, but god damn it, it’s better and cheaper and I missed it. Probably will get one later because I can repurpose literally all the parts to other projects when the time comes.

Bought a metric fuckton of twister T4s, All but 2 broken - Testing the components in the brain (Motor controller, board for switching and two motors) in the whole fucking pile of extra motors I bought, indexing the broken/not broken parts (just finished that last night) then refurbishing the trimming unit itself (changing stripped screws, regreaseing the bearings, making sure nothing is bent, etc), cleaning and iso-ing the leaf suckers so every t4 has a fully repaired leaf sucker and squaky fucking clean trimming unit with clean wiring done as most of the fucked up brain/motor combos I interacted with was fucked due to bad grounding and general wook-level electrical work. Fixing the broken motor units were the hard part because it was a lot of electrical chasing to find the weak link but at this point I have almost every component of those torn apart, cleaned and put in tote boxes for easy organization because surprisingly these things aren’t THAT hard to take apart and fix.
Today I’ll be replacing pulleys, wheels and drilling out a few wook-ed screws and attaching the motor properly to get these rocking. I’m expecting to get at least 3-4 of them moving and being trimmers again by the end of the day.
Looks a bit busy in there but work is indeed getting smashed

I think i’m going to make high value equipment acquisition/repair an hobby of mine. I bought all of these from a fucking REALLY big company and am straight the fuck up shocked they seemingly took no care of their gear
Either way the idea is to be the king of croptober.

Little mount/enclosure for the glg/marcel coin. A #8 allen head countersunk screw would probably look better, or you can just tie some string through the hole 
m2 x 8-10mm (x4) to secure the lid to the base. The base is notched in a similar way, to not obstruct the rear text

Needed to increase the speed at which I do my secondary solvent recovery because I only have a small rotovap with a membrane system, but didn’t have a lot of money to drop. I saw that these shotgun condensers were rather cheap, so I decided to get one and hook up a small DIY falling film evaporator with an old glass condenser and rotovap bulb. Just manually fed, which makes it a bit hard to control flow. Pretty good though.
Now I just have to figure out how to improve the performance because it’s a bit slower than it should be.

I have made a 100 cartridge press for less then $1000. Yes it is janky as hell but it gets the job done. You have to press the carts more then once some times but it beats putting them on 1 by 1.
( yes you end up with bent carts if your using plastic ones if you use to much force. I call them zarts)

I’ve seen this played effectively with steam in at the top, and condensate to waste.

I have a 2kw oil heater hooked up to it, so probably yes. Nice thing is it doesn’t need to be too fast. I managed to go through ~3-5 gal per hr whereas the rotovap only does like 0.5. The stuff you see is actually concentrating rejected wax and chlorophyll from my membrane system. I do this because I would need to spend more ethanol cleaning the membrane than I would recover.

I did a rot repair from a second story leaky window. This is the first floor what used to be the porch but became an enclosed area.
Also the replacement of the entire window frame which happened to be wood and was completely rotted out. I rebuilt the frame reset the window set the tile and today I did grout and final paint. I’ll edit pictures of final paint tomorrow
Walked away from this job today
