So I heard you guys like filling carts

Got you. I just thought if you do 8k carts thats 4000g or 8000g so thats a lot of disty and terps to heat.

Microwave/homogenizer. Mixing 8 liters can be fast if its 8 batches

Microwave the the solution would work? I have never thought about this, only because I have known microwaves to work on the principal of vibrating water molecules to heat a substance. Water bath still seems like the go to. Nice even heating and with a sealed jar no loss of terps with minimal degradation.

You heat the material to boiling, dump in terps, then homogenize. The terps never experience direct heating. The tome they can boil off is the time between being dumped and homogenized. 3-4 seconds tops

Pre weigh your terps, then you can cut that down to milliseconds (homogenizer already spinning while terps get dumped)

Residence time. The microwave takes about 3 mins to heat a room temp batch of 500g to boiling. The mixing adds an extra 45 seconds.

Farming through 500g takes about 25-35 minutes. You can technically farm 8000 in an 8 hour shift. But thats like no breaks. 7000 is more achievable with the farmer.

This is with a mixer/aide, filler, and a capper dual wielding.

Iā€™ve run a T&D semi with their capper and thereā€™s no way I could do 1000/hour. Iā€™m not sure I could even get the pneumatic plunger moving that fast.

With a 250ml farmer however, our 3-person crew can knock out 4k in 5 hours and take the rest of the day off.

I fill a 1000 and have two people with vape bits cap, I have the t&d capper too and used it for like a day not very efficient. You can cap still in the foam with vape bits.

The plunger can move very slow if the oil isnt preheated enough. It refills before I can get the needle from pen to pen

can you send me the link to the vape tip drill bit?

I donā€™t like getting product any hotter than necessary and almost always run cooler than recommended, so that very well could have been a set back for the T&D. Either way I can get 80% of that 1000/hour with a beer in one hand, and our entire fill line was 1/4 the cost of the T&D rig.

With pockets that deep Iā€™ve got a capping SOP for you thatā€™ll free up one of those wooks. :upside_down_face:

AS OF JUNE 1ST

I'm putting up:

1. legacy (version 1) 250 and
2. 1000ml legacy UPGRADES (no gun, guns are scarce)
3. New style cf 250 UPGRADE kits (no gun, guns are scarce)

It would have to do at least 1000 an hour to be competitive with a manual filler. 100 rack foams mean using bulky actuated tables that are slow and need an operator to place and remove. That means traditional foam racks canā€™t be used, adding extra steps to the filling process, and risks of breaking carts.

There are a ton of logistics hurdles too. I am expecting the gCell and other glass body cartridges to take over the market in the coming months. Out of The 5 availible glass designs, only one is traditional top-fill style. The gCell are difficult to fill with autofillers because they need to be tilted at an angle, adding a 3rd dimension to have to work around.

Then comes the gun. I really want to retire the Unimatic, because it is a foreign product that takes forever to land. I have a design for a new dispenser, but that will take time to release too. I have no local machine shops that arent crab. ESPECIALLY when the word gun is used.
