You know what’s funny… I used to be very much of a progressive and one of my life philosophies used to be “violence is perpetrated by those not smart enough to solve their problems with our brains”. But then I went to prison and try hard as I did to keep from violence I found out that at certain situations if you shy away from it you are more likely to encounter it and to suffer dearly the consequences of it. The world is not all sunshine and rainbows and the sad reality of it is you don’t know in advance which one of the people you meet at any day of your life will be the one that will try to end it.
I strongly advise start watching some videos from active self protection of what the reality of this world is.
The reality of it is the guy was completely justified in his actions because he did not know that true intentions and the capacity the perpetrator had for violence so he took the only logical action and defended his life.
And really at the end of the day like I said earlier I’d rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6
Also an important lesson I learned in prison that you obviously have no clue about is how to survive in a hostile environment that really wants to kill you
I grew up in Texas and I remember seeing on the news more than one story of homeowners shooting people who broke into their house and killing them and when the police showed up only thing the police said is thank you for taking out a piece of shit out of the gene pool you saving the taxpayer a bunch of money
Sure. There is discretion at every level. But getting sued for civil damages is a separate issue. Whoever you kill probably has relatives who can sue later.
A. A person or his agent in lawful possession or control of premises is justified in threatening to use deadly physical force or in threatening or using physical force against another when and to the extent that a reasonable person would believe it immediately necessary to prevent or terminate the commission or attempted commission of a criminal trespass by the other person in or upon the premises.
Yes, there are a lot of aggressive state laws, mostly in red states. Some of them are still new and untested. Larger point is that in a legal sense, it is never a good idea to use deadly force unless you are certain you are about to die. The legal and financial consequences afterward are only slightly better than death. You might still lose everything even if you “win.”
Which is exactly why I asked you if having a pistol found in the kids pocket afterwards would have made a difference! Because the fact is every time someone in this situation is being aggressed upon he has no clue what is in the mind of his attacker and what capabilities to cause harm to him which leaves an obvious unfortunate answer
Tell that to my buddy who got shot in the head after he coughed up the weed they stole from him . Not every time you give the goods willingly you survive . Good for you rescuing the woman . I would of just shot the dog and been done cause it’s gonna be put down anyways. You bet your ass I carry daily and will use it if you try and risk my life in any way . Rather be 6 feet up knowing I fought for my life than going out like my buddy did .
This dude criticized another person SOP and than cried, raged and said he blocked me 3 times (and responded each time after he “blocked” me i might add) after i ASKED why he believe’d the revision was necessary.
Just another you know what acting out because things don’t go exactly their way. @Ralf
