The roots that have more mass/density/yellowish is for using a little too much rooting hormone. I’ve even had them just pop root nibs, then stall out and would not root.

Grodan makes them. They are awesome. Just even so you can lift and look at them. Also allows to keep water in the tray without water logging the cubes

So I’m ignorant of the methodology for feeding the clones without water logging the rockwool

Are you just keeping water 1/4” away from the bottom and letting it wick?
