Rosin press go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I started with dry sift at first then moved into fresh frozen freeze dried has as an input. Dry sift would make nice snap and pull but never a wet badder

@SubstituteCreature your pics are nicer

What sort of potency differences, if any, did you notice between your bubble hash and your dry sift? Tumbling seems like a good idea, but all the hemp hash and kief I’ve seen on the market that’s tumbled is generally under 40% total cannabinoids. Could be they’re just not taking the time with it since it’s worth less than the THC counterpart so they don’t static tech it or anything but idk. I don’t really do dry sift but I would add it to the arsenal if it were worth it for high quality hemp. I don’t have a walk in freezer to put it in, though.

I’ll add that sometimes it seems like I lose some terps to the water when I run bubble hash. I don’t know what the overall percentage is, or if it’s avoidable apart from doing dry sift.

mine tested in the 70s for kief and a little higher on the fresh frozen

the terpene content was the biggest difference

and when i mad my kief i was CAREFULLY and GENTLY making dry ice sift with bubble bags. I would do 1 bag at a time over a bigass glass table with ample white lighting on it (i used big LED work lights) i would shake for like 4 seconds and then compare color to the first pile and the minute the color changed even a tiny bit i stopped agitating and started a new bag

then i cleaned that up with screens and carding, one more step and the kief itself would almost be dabbable like cubantek

Is that for hemp or regular THC cannabis?

THC
These were all pics from a few years ago so it was GG4 and some Lemon strains

Nowadays i would cold cure everything into batter

Why no fresh press?

I’ve always found the name “fresh press” silly when the oil was usually pressed a while ago. It just wasn’t intentionally nucleated to a badder/sugar.

Scraping a dab off the paper while you press it…that’s some fire fresh press and I can never stop myself from doing it.

Oh ya. I guess what I’m really asking is; in everyone’s experience, what form of live rosin do buyers request the most of from all of the solventless extractors? “Fresh press” or cold cured “badder/batter”?

what does fresh press look like?

Anything from budder (cause some strains can autobudder while pressing) to like a transparent snap and pull / shatter consistency.

Terp fraction on this pineapple og (s.or cut) looking as good as it smells.

Straight pineapple juice terps covered in gas and some og funk. None of the pineapple candy/soda terps that many pineapple cuts tend to have

Does anyone know offhand if CO solventless based extraction businesses have to follow the same as a solvent-based extraction business? Blast proof vents seem a bit much for bubble
