I keep a bottle of the root balm just for my cat. Last night I noticed he had a bad sore on his side. Forgive my graphic description, but I can only describe it as a pus-oozing crater. I poured some balm on it, which he then of course licked off. Tonight his former sore is a scab and looks like it has been healing for a week. I am once again impressed at the healing power of roots.
My wife gets gout once and awhile 2-3 times a year but when it come I guess it hurt bad after years and years of toxic drugs on her liver and everything else it touched but they didn’t always work as a nurse RN BSN we were frustrated I made a batch of oil to make brownies and we used it on it just rubbed it on the effected area put plastic wrap and a sock on in the morning it felt much better 2 days treated all gone now every time she feels it getting stiff we do it no attacks for 5 years we have kept it at bay and once she was in a walking boot for weeks
Good for gout. Boil root balls and then spread them on feet overnight.
Good for ethanol production. Root balls can be fermented and distilled.
Any lit on purification methods and characterizations of root alkaloids? Dm me i am compiling
A thread from a grower from Thailand had a copy of a book that made medicines from the plant and roots too.
Might check the Greenbook from our friends, gods chosen people supposedly with advanced scientific cannabis medical knowledge.
I made some root juice (coconut oil and a crockpot) after reading this thread. A few days later I had a fever blister start to appear.
I rubbed a little oil on the spot twice a day for 2 days and it is gone. It never became more irritated after my first application, and eventually disappeared.
The root oil worked quicker than abreva ever has for me.
Does anyone else get cold sores? It would be nice to see if this was an anomaly.
Let me bump the roots thread to say I used it on another feline friend. A neighborhood tom who visits for meals and attention had a wound under his chin, white and red grossness. That was 48 hours ago when I put some of the root topical on his wound. Yesterday it had completely reversed course, no white at all and scabbed over. Today the scabs are gone and his hair is coming back. It looks like it has been two weeks and not two days. This stuff continues to amaze.
Allow me to also edit to add a pic just because he passed out in front of me just now. Two days ago his chin was an infected mess.
Upon further research, inspired by using the root product on a dog bite on my own leg, the hemp root extract contains collagenase, which is an enzymye that makes dead cells fall off. “Enzymatic wound debridement” is what modern medicine calls it, and collagenase is widely used.
Infection colonizes dead cells. Antibiotics try to stop that bacterial growth, but alternatively, debridement removes the bacteria’s food source by making fall it off and dry out. I find it all gross, yet fascinating at the same time.
There’s something unique to the roots. There was a diamond shaped crystal under high magnification. I saw it in a electron microscopy picture book.
