Refinance home mortgage with large indoor grow? Appraiser visit

The rooms are fully built out. It would be a monumental undertaking to cover up what’s going on in them

Rates are crazy right now. I got a 2.95% when we refinanced back in April.

Damn I got 3% back in 2015 when I bought the house. Refinanced in late 2018 to change some names around on the deed because that was the easiest way to do it in my situation. Now I’m at like 4.2% … Maybe I’ll reach out to my mortgage guy.

Do it, man. I can refer ya to my guy if you’d like to. He made it super easy and did it all online, like I said.

Is there like a single spot to go to where multiple places will bid on interest rate? I was looking at quicken loans in a couple other online sources rates looked down around 2.5 to 2.75

I don’t know of any place that does that, but that would be cool.
I used Quicken Loans.

I had a city water inspector come 8nside my grow building to check to see of I was stealing water. I use big bllack sheets/blankets and make a walk way. It’s like a Halloween maze.

Side question - how the hell do you get 400A of extra service on a residential site without raising any eyebrows? If I’m reading this right you have 2x100A panels in each, and I’m assuming 200A service in the home itself. Did you tell them you were going to be mining crypto? LOL

Hi yes I am a welder and I need minimum 200 amps

I don’t need 400 amp service yet.

Each room is only using about 100 amps at a time and they operate on flip flop. I use 2x 100a subs per room because I had them on hand and hundreds of feet of 1-1-1-3 wire

Can you as the homeowner there have your service ran to 200 amp, heres its 120 but if you own it you can have them jump it to 200.

It’s 200a here

Nice that makes it easier, they might have done it at 120 here because of the area. Back east yds ago building housing developments they were all 200. Here is the only place ive seen 120 as standard.

On that note, it is worth mention that independent mortgage brokers get what is called back end pricing as compensation from the lender to whom they take that loan app. So there are loan apps that go through with zero points and a rate that isn’t lower anywhere else, but the broker still makes good money. It probably varies by state, but when I worked in Florida we were not required to disclose that compensation.

Is there any way to refi without closing costs or fees? I noticed they say no closing but just want you to wrap it up into the.loan so you end up.paying interest on those closing costs

Lol. That reminds me of the supposed no commission and free stock trades. Nothing is free. Financial companies are not charities.

Finance companies = legal loan sharks

If I had “John Wick” balls and skill, I’d be a “finance company”.
Lol

Don’t they make hundreds of thousands on the interest already?

Not sure about Maine law but in michigan a home owner can pull their own permits if they are doing the work, just have to have it inspected. In Michigan you can just install one of these Amazon.com just tell the inspector you plan on future additions but wanted to start with the electrical service.

Usually the issue with that is interfacing with the utility provider. They are the ones that will ask you what you need service for four houses for lol
