R134a crude extract into diamonds/high value products?

He posted a pic

I can’t speak for the pure5, but heres some extract I made recently with my clients system

Not the best pic but gives you an idea.

Shoot, you can even see the system in the background lol.

Sell it and get a hydrocarbon system.

Not sure why your client is so worried about showing the setup. I highly doubt anyone knowledgeable on extraction would want to copy it.
Maybe they should ask themselves what’s the advantage of running R134a verse hydrocarbons? I cannot think of any but I have never ran 134a. I have run many different hydrocarbon blends though. I would look into converting it to hydrocarbons if they do not want to sell and start over.

Probably embarrassed

How much material and how long did it take to make that, including decarb?

Didn’t decarb. That particular batch was 4kg of low quality trim and yielded 80g of the oil pictured above.

Oh and it took a ridiculously long time. Like 3 hours from start to finish

Yeesh. A 2% return and three hour run time?

But it’s science bro

Trade shows are magic bean seller conventions

looks like that abomination is all stainless. it’ll probably hold butane/pentane no problem.

Just try pentane man

This is what I was wanting to learn more about. can you refer me to any links where I can learn more

Well with a BP of 97f your 60f condenser should suffice

it is indeed all stainless. I’m looking more into converting the unit

Looks like you’re running pressures are slightly higher then nButane. Are you concerned with chemical compatibility? Are the seals and gaskets HBNR? Help us help you. Manufacturer and model of your rig? Maybe you could use it to drive chilling and or recovery on a hydrocarbon rig if we can’t help you convert it.

Maybe it’s the fact I just smoked but I just got curious as to how you distill your r-134a prior to extraction… Is it the same as distilling butane, isobutane and propane

I think the advantages are

It’s not explosive so no C1D1 or 2
It runs without chillers
It doesn’t need winterizing
It has a very selective polarity for aromatics and not other compounds. Similar to sub critical co2 but doesn’t need winterizing and doesn’t skunk terps with pressure/heat

Obviously the disadvantage is you have to ensure you have a 0ppm product but lots of industrial processes use things that have to be completely removed to be safe like hexane or DCM
