Quillaja saponaria (q natty alternative)

Build a soil offers powdered Quillaja extract with a saponin content of 20%. The COA is completely food grade organic and it makes excellent stable nanoemulsions.

They are way easier to deal with than ingredion, for me they are local. Nice option I thought I’d share :call_me_hand:

I scooped up a discount code for the gang, or any forum members :facepunch:
SAP15 for 15%off makes it cheaper than q naturale per saponin molecule at kilo prices.

Here’s a pic of an extremely stable emulsion made with it

I’ve dealt with buildasoil for a long time.
He learned from coots and shares tons of info, Jeremy is solid as fuxk!
Also has the powdered aloe for foliage spray!

And is the emulsion made with an ultrasound or just a high shear homogenizer?

How does it compare to the saponin content of yucca? How does the emulsion compare to lecithin?

They’ve got great stuff! I met Jeremy through jiu jitsu.
A microemulsion could be prepared with shear but a higher energy input like ultrasonic is needed for nano.

It has 20% saponin. It makes much more stable (tight polydispersity and highly negative zeta potential are the criteria I’m using) emulsions than lecithin. Quite bitter at high concentrations though.

I think I met him on ic mag or one of the sites people jumped to…super kind dude

Build a soil kicks ass!
They helped me better understand living organics and helped supply me with the minerals & amendments that led to my best outdoor harvest!

Yes it is the mineral mix and the bacteria that do all the work!!!

any advice on how much the active saponin ratio to total oil? currently testing this blend and experiencing separation after a day or so, alongside underwhelming effects;

50ml THC

50ml Refined Olive Oil

25g QS-60 from Build-a-soil (15g active, little over 2% total )

*** 675ml distilled water, 800ml total

going to be doubling the saponins and processing again later today and see if that helps, was just curious to hear what a typical ratio was

How are you emulsifying? This will have a large impact on stability. Microfluidization is ideal for long term stability and uniform particle size distribution.

US Solid 1800W, 20khz

running at 90%, 5 min on, 5 min off for an hour total on-time.
