Glad I found this thread, Im a little late to the party. Iām looking at the focus v carta 2 and the peak pro as they look like the best options for temp control, portability, and user friendliness. I read through all the comments so far and looks like either option is great. Leaning toward Carta 2 because it is a little cheaper and has controls right on the side of it. If anyone has updates on their experience with these, or if there have been changes in either company that would be good to know.
Anyone know of discounts on Carta 2 (while still maintaining warranty)?

240 is the cheapest, authorized seller (according to their site) and has the warranty.

I like the puff I for durability and atomizer lifespan but the peak pro hits better
They all need aftermarket glass

Why do they need a different glass? Anyone you recommend?
Puffco all the way.
I like the shape of the puffco more, itās more stylish imo. But the Carta 2 having the display right on the side is great. Easy access to controls and to see what the current temp is etc. The peak pro app letās you see all the same stuff, but then Iām using two devices to do one thing instead of just the e rig.
I can still get a good price on both the carta and the puffco, only issue is the warranty. Since Iām not a retail shop and you arenāt paying retail prices, you donāt get a receipt of the transactionā¦.
Other good reason is if I fielded returns for any of this it would really not be worth my time and it would ultimately ruin a good thing

Does anyone have a fix for the puffco pro blinking clear several times? I know its supposedly an atomizer issue but I have 3 atomizers and none of them are working. (one is almost new).

Our puffco had to have three atomizers replaced in the first month, our Carta has been a workhorse for almost two years now. Nuff said.

Sometimes the puffco can be a real fickleā¦ but thatās where the dabx go is gonna be the game changer, no more goop inside your atomizer connector, no more qtips

Pro isopropyl glass cleaning tip!
We used to just put iso in a glass cup in the microwave for 20-30 seconds it brings the alcohol to a boil and your pour it right in and cleans like a charmmmm, never had any safety issues,

I havenāt dabbed in yearssss now because of anxiety from weed I developed randomly couple years ago but ya easy trick we used to use !
The reclaim all shoots out into this little tray and I get very little reclaim compared to the puffco. I havenāt used my puffco since I got it.

Reverse airflow, air flows from the bottom of the coil, any extract that you donāt smoke puddles, of flows down the tube, you just keep loading it.
Sure there is some cleaning, but itās not the connection for the atomizer, just the catch tray, and glass. for the catch tray you freeze it and pop out the reclaim in the trash.
I have been putting it through the tests and it keeps passing
They said they had one at the last trade show did over 1000 dabs and never cleaned the atomizer, no qtips.

that means it doesnt detect an atomizer. its usually a bad connection on the chamber and puffco or the atomizer connections inside are a little messed up. you can take them apart and clean them but its a pain and needs a few little tools to work with the small parts.
Also try pushing down on the atomizer to see if that fixes it briefly.

Eat the reclaimed oil brother ā¦ you said throw it in the trash? Why would you do that? I love making treats with reclaim.

Iāll be honest I just tossed about a g of reclaim from it earlier today, it may be considered wasteful, but I already got my use out of itā¦

Do you have another puffco available to verify that the atomizer you have is functional?
If you have 3d Chambers on the pro, the app tells you when itās connected if connected but still 3 whites flashes its probably a short in the atomizer.
If itās not connected I would look closely at the threads, and those 3 electrodes, and make sure they are spotless, with the puffco, once you break the connection you gotta be certain to get it clean, I usually fill the chamber area with iso and soak for hours or scrub then rinse with more iso, you canāt hurt electronics with isopropyl.
Worst case, a wire broke.
