Let the juice loose!
Build a soil is awesome. I’m lucky enough to have them right down the road. The owner is legit and they have great products.
The 3.0 soil blend is
These are my clones on arrival and then after a week and a half in 3.0.
Indoor bloodhounds are loose keeping watch over the goodies.
(I told them they touch the plants I’m dropping my tent below 60 for 3 days, watch em go dormant & vacuum up the little bodies)
Lucky you, I would be there all the time. Lol
All of their products are great. Try their craft blend…
Fwiw, Lady beetles show up on my plants when I have aphids. They keep them mostly eaten, so the aphids are hard to spot.
Oh I released them myself lol, I’ve always recommended them or mantises to folks that can’t control or get a grip on ipm, I seen them while grabbing vermiculite for the one box & figured I’d let my daughter have fun & keep up for me when I don’t feel like using soap. Other than that my cats enjoy chasing them too.
Hey, can you elaborate on the grow lights with solar panels? Which lights are you using? I have a hoop house I want to ruin electricity to, but this sounds like an amazing alternative. I guess you only need the light so they don’t trigger flowering early so it wouldn’t have to be a powerful light.
Are you using solar panels or some like cheapo Home Depot kinda thing?
Just go on amazon and search solar powered string lights, there are a variety of options (most seem to be pretty weather resistant). The lights charge in the day and turn on at night for 5-7 hours (I think is what the listing said)
And yeah it’s only to stop them from flowering, letting me veg outdoors earlier (I don’t have room indoors for as many plants as I’m running)
If my memory serves me correct it was @Thetetraguy who I first recommended this (atleast that’s who I heard it from I think)
Nice looking plants you have there sir.
Yup good memory, they worked like a charm
@wems yeah the cheapo ones, the solar panel that came with my kit is like 6"x6". Not a legit solar panel by any means, but its enough to store 3 or 4 hours of juice.
I recommend playing around with adding more bulbs to make the lights turn off quicker by using up the built in battery capacity. Usually u only need 3 or 4 hours of extension and some of these, if run with bulbs that were in the kit, can run all night (u dont want that). Thats likr waking u up at 4 am and putting u outside for a couple of hours in the cold before letting u back in to eat breakfast. Try and add those bulb socket splitters, so u have two bulbs where one should be. That will use the juice quicker and only add 3 hrs to the grow time.
Obviously adjust the solar panels pitch every month yo keep maximum solar absorption.
If u wanted a more permanent solution, id get 1 200w solar panel, a deep cell battery pack, inverter and LED strips for the light. Maybe an audrino/raspberry pi to control the time. That way u dont have to trip when u get a week of cloud cover. The strips can be run along ur greenhouse frame, so theres nothing in the way
Shoeeeeeweeeeeeee! Set up for the big times lol
Wow, awesome info. Thanks. Is there no way to just put the lights on a timer so they shut off 2-3 hours after sunset
This is what I do until jun23
I use these on my beds and 1 light per plant from 7-10 pm will do the trick
Good job. Those looked rough 6 days ago
Thanks man! The other ones are a few days behind this one, but definitely on the come back!
