Lucky I found out so many ways not to make sauce, then finally years ago, then I find this place this year, wish I did that years ago

Hey so if I’m getting sugar sauce how long should I wait for?

If you did the cryo right it’ll be better than sugar, but it’s no set science, you’ll get the feel with time… They’re too many variables to say exact time butane saturation THC saturation terpene content there’s just so many different variables to give an exact time

I’m about to do another run but I only have one diamond miner. I was going to run a pound and I was thinking about pouring into multiple small jars.

Is this a bad idea? If not do you have any recommendations on jar sizes?

Most of the more experienced users here jar up without any issues, as for me I don’t have a Diamond miner not lucky enough to, I’ve Jarred multiple jars plenty of times ,the main thing is not wanting too much solvent or filling the jars up too much… I’ve used small 4oz and large gallon jars… Like I said the main thing is saturation, how much you fill in the jar, if it’s building too much pressure on the LiD you will physically see it bending out, if bent out bad you may need to vent by opening, I just stick inside something I consider to be really sturdy, like place the jars in there, if no spark all you could have is pressure gernade lol not funny, but be careful wear gear… It’s definitely not safest thing though… But I’ve never had any bad experience, once you blast, pour every jar full immediately, when 2/3 gone start crying phase

Do you think these clamp jars will work or should I go with the Mason jars?

So far mason jars are the only thing that I can find with a lid that actually seals… I’ve tried all those they may act like they’re sealing and they may slow it down, but it evaporates twice as fast imo

Wide Mouth Mason jars so it’s easier to get it out, but once the nucleation happens it comes out so much easier than when it’s like that shatter liquid, it doesn’t stick to anything hardly once it turns to sauce

Ok thanks I grabbed both so I will use the Mason jars and update soon!

If I run out of dry ice this weekend should I keep them in the freezer or just start the room temp phase?

How long have they been under…
And do you have the white gathering on the bottom

And you place the top lid on without the band correct some people miss this part, just let some evaporate while it’s in cryo but just tiny amounts

They’ve been on for 24 hours and there is for sure separation happening and white gathering at the bottom.

I did put the bands on but I didn’t tighten them. I’ll take them off in a minute lol

Ok the longer you do that the more it gathers together, this giving you bigger crystals when you seal, you have to be careful you don’t want to disturb it either, less you touch even after sealed the bigger they can possibly get, ( I can’t help it sometimes though I’m a toucher) lol… But you’ll get better with time, if your just aiming for dank ass sauce your right on the way…

Ok so I just started pulling out my jars for the room temp step. One of them has what looks like diamonds in it. I took a few out to investigate lol. I was worried it was something else cuz it was so early

Are these them?

Yes I fixed this I read wrong first time, how many days they been down, as sealed, and it’s probably worth putting back in till done they get bigger, yours will be huge

Especially having physically something to gather on

Lower temps like lower like 65f for longer periods gives bigger crystals, another dude showing on here he did full crash in freezer over 2 months, they are huge clear crystals

It’s been a little over 48 hours.

They’ve been at room temp for about 30 min now…a lot of the butane has evaporated. Should I still put them back in the freezer? (No dry ice ATM)

How do I Purge the few diamonds that I separated to sample lol?

Wait do you mean to put the jars back in the freezer or out the diamonds back in the jars?

Diamonds back to jars and seal, takes several weeks to finish, will gather more!.. Most would say once crystals occur it’s purged itself of the tane, but I wouldn’t till in oven 80f , jar on heating pad something, crush them down if concerned bc so big some could be locked in

You can do the seal stage at lower temps for longer periods for bigger diamonds or 80-85f 2-4wkz then on to next step

When you say to put diamonds in the oven at 80f are you saying to pull vac too?
