My team didn’t have a good video of the receiving flasks so they will be making a new video with front and side view of the roto so people can see the rotavap recovery rates clearly. We have no reservations with showing off the performance and we’ve been able to duplicate it multiple times with different chillers and our thermodynamic calculations are correct.
And you can decarb with this rotavap as well which is a feature a lot of our clients requested. Plus during alcohol recovery, the oil/alcohol mixture doesn’t reach the actual temp of the bath so you won’t be “roasting” the oil as long as you have some alcohol in there being evaporated. (Same concept applies to applying higher heat temperatures to a BHO system)
The 50L roto 3phase model is 17k + a 10ton chiller at around ~25k plus a MD4C pump would get you a little over 70L/hour.

Nah it still requires a mod. On tap water we saw 40/hr.
With 48kw and between 10-20hp you should cross 60 the rest is a bonus if your vacuum has a blower on it. You’ll also need a post condenser to reach that. I haven’t done it yet I’m just going off other blue print specs. I think a 10hp might be pissed running that heat load at 0c

GOD was he wrong on soooooo much stuff. like butchered short path distillation. like told us to do blatantly wrong shit. so ya it was helpful in that it gave us a shitty platform to atleast correct ourselves. but he definitely by no means taught us how to properly or efficently run short paths lol.
