Need worker in LA

To be fair to the folks with experience though, no way in hell would I accept $20/hr in a HCOL area like LA. Better believe I’m gonna negotiate a waaay higher wage and even position after the working interview :joy: I’m not in LA though, so this is just hypothetical.

If I had no experience at all, I’d hop on the opportunity. It’s rare that a company is willing to train. As a manager, I prefer training people with no experience as you don’t have to worry about breaking any bad habits and dealing with shit like ā€œI ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DO THIS, I’M NOT DOING THAT!ā€ after making a simple suggestion.

Edit: honestly bro advertise this role on craigslist and indeed, get the newbies rolling in. I feel like newbies are rare here. I got started in this industry at a measly $12/hr as a packager, and I found the listing on craigslist. I was searching to get out of my $10/hr grocery pharm tech job. In the Boulder area of CO. (aka, HCOL area)

100%. If you have experience making hash, you shouldn’t have any days off from October-December with all this material coming in though. Hence why I haven’t posted for over a month.

@Cheebachiefextracts
Set up a couple cameras and rephrase your hiring advertisement as a ā€œIndy film shootā€ and you can just work through the 500 auditions that show up

Yeah, i was about to say, there’s a bunch of college students willing to do this to learn, and you don’t have to feel bad because they probably have a bunch of roommates :rofl:

Had some kid on instagram try to school me on distillate, was telling me how he’s getting a cannabis research degree or something. lol

Yeah, suckers born daily in college. They’ll take being paid in weed still.
You add Internship + real money and you’ve got a small army

Seriously, great to see people posting complaints on a job they don’t want too. CA is hurt up for motivated workers from my experience, offered someone $500 to drive out and help me harvest for one day last week and got turned down.

If you’re looking for better, take what you can now… Always. It’s not hard to look for work while working with what ya got.

I specifically needed someone with a truck/suv so I could fit a freezer in the back. All done harvesting now, thank you for the offer though. I’ll make sure to keep that in mind in the future.

Hell yeah, I don’t wanna crowd up cheeb’s post so I’ll DM ya next time!

Best of luck @Cheebachiefextracts , if you ever set up shop in Humboldt I would work with you for $20 in my off season all day. Steady work without having to worry about yields/moving the product is nothing to scoff at.

I’m just trying to figure out my logistics on getting there without upsetting you on getting late or anything due to my current situation as mentioned in my post.
It’s many things man, that’s why I haven’t just jumped the gun and said yes.
