Looks nice but the price is a little too much for me at the moment. Definitely will keep that in mind for future reference. I do small scale filling, so like i said it doesnt have to be too crazy.

I own this I paid around the same its a nice hot plate. There is a 7x7 version but it is usually slightly higher priced

Also you can make them an offer do 100$ free ship see what they say

I recommend you get a microwave and an amazon homogenizer

Looks nice, i would just need a temperature reader. Anything you would recommend around the $200 range?

Maybe I’m missing something, but I picked up a stir plate on amazon for 40 bucks.

Worked just fine for filling a small batch of carts. Use an ir thermometer for temp.

I’ve been looking into these for a few days myself, and yours is by far the most visually appealing.

Friendly reminder not to use IR temp guns on stainless or any highly reflective surface.

You get incorrect reading on things with highly reflective surfaces. The article linked above explains it more.

You can also get ir thermometers with an adjustable emissivity setting.

And here is a table of various surfaces and their emissivity

Wow I wasn’t aware of that, thanks. I normally use electrical tape like a savage.

Haha, oh I do too, because it’s the easier thing to do.

K.I.S.S.!!!

Just an interesting piece of information I found while looking into this stuff awhile ago.

I’m looking at purchasing one soon but the reviews of the cheap china ones make me think I’ll be throwing my money away unless I invest in a quality brand version.

OP, keep a lookout on eBay as you’ll get some quality lab grade ones second hand for a reasonable price.

Is using one of these essential to mixing the rosin for carts or will a beaker and hot water bath be sufficient?
