I saw this under a really nice microscope yesterday and it’s super clogged with particulate still. I own the same exact filter and tried to clean it the same way with little success. It’s currently sitting at the lab in an ultrasonic bath of Alconox.

I cleaned the filter exactly how nate recommended in my first email with him. Other than using nitrogen vs compressed air- out of convenience/cleanliness.
Yes, openblast-style, if you will, into a pyrex. Iso flowed thru, along with DE particles, followed by clean nitro for about 5 seconds @40psi, until POP/CRUNCH and SPARK.
Thank god I didn’t just reverse the plate inline on my system and wash with hydrocarbons, as ive heard some ppl clean theirs. I wouldn’t be here typing this.
@Slabby the result was the worst customer service I personally have EVER experienced with any product. I overnighted them their ignitor button back, waited for a week with 0 response by them, after taking more time off work to sit by phone waiting for call cuz i was told by Brad they’d be in contact. Had to have the CC company reverse the charge.
To add insult to injury, the bank fucked up the form the first time I went in to resolve this, and I had to take another day off work 5 days later to go in and refill out the same paperwork, to get the refund.
October was a fun month…

So yea, basically they had every opportunity and some to correct the issue. Didn’t from the jump. Told me to keep using it and not to keep trying to bend it back and that the dents and sparks shouldn’t effect filtration lol. Then I was pawned off on Brad, who, albeit more willing to be helpful than nate, was still stuck at his mercy and regurgitated their return policy. Which was they were going to inspect the filter and send me either it back, or a replacement. After they sent it in for 3rd party review.
Word. So I get to wait out $800 and a filter, while you go back and figure out why your $800 state of the art filter broke at 40psi, and further, SPARKED. Word.
I’m back to crushing it, forget nate bolero dude is straitt trash, and so is anyone rocking w dude
