My buddy doesnt believe in indica or sativa in 2021. What are your thoughts

It would make sense if growers back in the day grew without a proper indication of finishing time. That would mean they were picking indicas at 9 weeks and picking there sativas at 9 weeks also not knowing the sativa needed longer. In return the sativa being picked early was a more energetic high and the indica was actually finished proper so its a heavier high.

Indica and sativa are both growing genetics and have nothing to do with the effects of being high or the entourage effect. Prove me wrong.

It’s all marketing bullshit. Cause if bluedream can be packaged as a sativa and a indica then it’s marketing.

Tell me are there strains you’ve seen as indica and sativa… If it’s yes then you know it’s marketing bullshit.

I’m still convinced that there’s Landrace genetics with higher amounts THCp

So this isn’t accurate?

No it’s retarded.

There’s uplifting effects and sedative effects in both sativa and indica because indica and sativa are both ways of being grown not entourage effect genetics.

A sativa plant grows thin and stalky and the indica grows thick and bushy.

Both can make you tired both can make you energetic.

IT’S A TOTAL MARKETING SCAM

Again tell me when for example, Blue Dream becomes a sativa when it’s a known indica? I’ll tell you when, it’s when the market dictates its one or the other for profit.

Note the italics.

You should calm down. Perhaps with an indica.

I’ll calm down with whatever weed I buy because it’s literally all the same shit… Though there’s a difference between thc, d8 and CBD… I’ll give the market that.

You never answered my question.

WHEN DOES A WELL KNOWN INDICA LIKE BLUE DREAM BECOME A SATIVA?

Why are you replying to my post? You’ve been here long enough to know italics indicates sarcasm.

Because I genuinely want to know when that happens.

WHEN DOES A WELL KNOWN INDICA BECOME A SATIVA?

Is it mutation in genetics or is it marketing scams?

Blue Dream is not an indica. In fact, the strain doesn’t exist. While I hate phylos, when looking at the cannabis galaxy (family tree), blue dream exists all over the spectrum. Literally in too many places for it to actually be a single strain or even have a single identifiable parent.

Too many people called some random strain they thought was fire “blue dream”, so now we really have no such thing. Whether intentional or not, blue dream is whatever anyone wanted it to be at any given time, making it nothing at this point.

Maybe try a different strain for your example. :man_shrugging:

That explains that. But it still doesn’t explain why some strains are indica when they’re bred for THC and soem are sativa when they’re bred for CBD, in vice versa.

Blueberry = indica
Silver haze = sativa

?

Blue dream is a real strain and its pretty consistent too. I can probably see photos of it and say yea thats blue dream.

What part of my explanation didn’t make sense?

Too many examples of “blue dream” without enough information on the origin and the order of inception of the various lineages, nobody knows what true blue dream is what he’s saying.

I’ve only ever seen the blue dream that smells like soap.

I don’t think that means that blue dream doesn’t exist, just because we can’t agree on what parent crosses will produce a true blue dream. Everyone and their mother has a “pitbull” but most people who say that they’ve got a pitbull, they’re dogs are very far genetically from a true pitbull. Still people call em pitbulls and you couldn’t convince them otherwise.
