Media ec/moisture sensors

Then yeah it might be worth it.

All the info from meter group shows the teros 12 buried in the ground in a field, I would think that would work in a bed.

Well I’m telling you from experience they don’t work well only thing that seemed accurate was the temperature. Small containers and rock wool seems like they work well large beds not so much

Oh I thought you meant the aclima sensors.

What was your pwec when it was reading high?

8 ec in my best bed

That’s for sure not high

Pwec is not even close to the same as run off ec, I got one zone spiking to 12 ec at the end of p3 and run off is only 5.5ec. 2.7ec input.

That’s what the feed schedule looks like for 4x4x4 rockwool with 5 ft tall plants in them lol.

Not gonna lie. What is pwec?

Was just going off the EC

Pore water ec. That’s the measurement you get from the teros12 .
Basically ec inside the medium.

Oh ok. Well based off using the sensors it seemed like I was on the correct path minus what my ECs were at. Temp and moisture were on point so I ditched them. I know they work great for some. I’ve got some homies crushing it with them

Sounds like you just need to learn how to understand them. 8pwec is not to high.

I just didn’t feel I was getting accurate readings with one per bed. I experimented with putting them in different places and the readings were all over the board

I have no experience with beds but maybe putting it towards the middle would work good.
Something like this,

That’s exactly what I did. I read their instructions

How are the beds irrigated?

With watering grates. 4 pvc pipes evenly spaced out with a 360 degree sprayer every 6 inches. They are very evenly watered

If I move my sensors plant to plant they all have a bit of a different readings unless they are the exact same size, maybe it’s the same idea, less root mass in certain areas.
