Mechanically separated decarbed thca turning purple

I have no idea…I couldn’t find a better reference.

Take a nice big dab and immediately set it in the sun. It was as if the deposited reclaim from the dab immediately changed color.

@FicklePickle do you recall?

it simply doesn’t. all the data given is incomplete/useless due to missing pressure values. i, too have yet to find a reliable source for the bp’s of cannabinoids.

I have looked at microwave absorption of CBD as well and find it very low.
Depending on he container…you can heat it a bit.

The temps are listed at very pressure here, like 0.01 mm Hg.

i mean that’s no big surprise given the wavelength was chosen to reflect the resonance frequency of the H-O bond in water.

that being said, heating such small amounts of material which is basically transparent to microwaves can damage the mw oven, so it’s necessary to put a heat sink like a glass of water in the oven as well.

where’s that, got a link?

also, if you were to heat it until it fluidizes from the glassine state and decarbs in a rigorous manner, how can you tell boiling from rigorous bubble formation from CO2 production. ?

Is it possible that the "Diamond " people have a crystalline state that is different from the crystalline-glassine state (that appears to shatter), which takes added energy to revert to liquid state?

It is citing some number from EPA database in fact, but I think there is also a mixing up of units F/°C.

https://comptox.epa.gov/dashboard/dsstoxdb/results?search=DTXSID20204907#properties

This database doesn’t tell the pressure corresponding to boing point.
I believe 0.01 mm Hg may be a sort of convention.
PubChem list similar numbers at 0.02 mm Hg.

Could you please clarify what your mechanical separation process entails? I’m a touch confused as to how your using the centrifuge, is it spinning up fast enough to to move the oils out of the plant material? I’ve got more questions. I kinda assumed all the centrifuge Tek was using either water to make bubble hash or alcohol to move the good stuff.

Already changed color just sitting there

I’d find it highly unusual if there was any kind of convention for this, also between 0.02 and 0.01 there should be a difference in bp of roughly 10degC

that particular shade would be called smurf jizz

now that is what I call a beautiful experiment.

I colorize all my cannabinoid thin-layer plates (hundreds) by just placing them in direct sunlight. Glass filtered we know its longwave UV/vis. Takes about an hour…deepens over a day or two.
The aerosol may be special…its structure may well contain, after vaping, THCA, THC
H2O, O2, N2. We have attempted to measure its particle size, it will not pass a 0.5u
filter. There is no THC vapor as such…all in aerosol form.

It is pretty!

@TwistedStill, I’ll take a fatty after work and do the same thing, but with some fresh swabs

I do indeed. Was that my sauce or yours?

Almost 5 minutes total time and nothing yet…

Doing 30 seconds bursts.

My microwave just died???

Lol

Is this possible I did it???

Microwaves heat moisture, if there is none present it can’t heat

Yeah, I kinda figured that was it.

I did the bursts and thought I let the microwave cool enough in between. Like a good 30 seconds in between. Guess not…

Oh well, guess I get to buy a new microwave

Update: microwave no ded

try to heat water before you toss the mw. should have read my comment:

more specifically, they heat stuff that resonates at 2.4GHz, so not only moisture/water, but also other compounds that resonate in roughly that frequency band.

Derp, yes I should have.

Future reference.
