Hey everybody, after sometime scanning through posts on here I’ve found it best that I make a post so I can hopefully get the most clear and concise answers to what I am looking for. Currently have been doing distillate cartridges with an 8% terp cut and want to steer over to live resin. The question I have is what would be the best method available to make live resin cartridges on a larger scale while staying solventless and cost efficient? Looking to match the darker colored oils with the same consistency as distillate seen in some dispensary products.Tried working with a sauce to preserve terpenes and get it in its most natural form, but it ended up crystallizing. Currently using ceramic AVD Cartridges with 4x2.0mm intake holes. I’ve read up on decarbing and winterizing concentrate but not completely sure on what would be the best method for all of this because I want to work on a larger scale. Trying to steer away from just mixing distillate and cdt so I can keep it truly live resin. Not sure if there’s just liquid live resin that I can buy out there, so any advice would really be appreciated. Thanks!
Make diamonds, spin them off, decarb diamonds, reintroduce terps.
definitely the best method
poor man’s method decarb the live load into carts. but the centrifuge is much smarter idea to conserve your terps
Once you decarb live resin it is no longer live resin so cant really call it a live resin cart. I would suggest skipping trying to find solventless live resin as thats rare and I am sure expensive. Its not easy to make solventless live resin. I would look for super saucy diamonds made from fresh frozen and do as raghanded said.

raghanded still said the thca needs to be decarb… so since live resin is thca and live terps nothing we do is gonna keep it live the best u can do is keep the terps pristine and don’t add them back till decarb is done
I’d still call it live resin carts even if u don’t seperate bc it was made from live resin… I make em both ways all the time. they both come out really well

Wouldn’t have a problem doing that, just aiming for something that would differentiate itself from distillate cartridges and artificial flavoring.

I love taking some sugar stealing the terps putting them aside , decarbing the thca then when done adding the terps back a injecting temps and stir them in really fast
I still think it even taste good decarbing terps sugar and all if ur making some in pinch and just wanna try em out
Whats a typical turn around time for it to sugar appropriately for the fuge? 4 days?
This also got me thinking, does decarbing fresh live resin with nitrogen backfill result in the terpenes being destroyed? How is the flavor profile changed if at all? I’d be really curious to run some tests and see how those profiles change

tbh completely honest I don’t see the biggest difference on when I take the fuge terps out and add them back after decarbing the sugar… I know there is one though bc obviously I’m cooking some the terps off during decarb but crc live seems to keep them around better for some. reason
depends on so many variables:
amount of extract
amount of terps in the extract
temperature
speed

We typically run each 25-30g sample for 45 minutes before swapping out the steel centrifuge site shells. I remove half of the shells and put them in the freezer to chill, and weigh extracts with the shells included due to how fucking cheap they are made.
Every 45 minutes we swap out the shells and continue running. If one extract is completed, it is removed from the run and replaced with another extract weighed to the standard batch size. Some extracts separate super fast (anything made with hemp) and some separate super slow (waxier extracts and low terp extracts)

Why would decarbing the thca make it no longer live resin? Also solventless live resin is very common except they call it live rosin lol
What if I cannot make diamonds? Just buy good raw THCA diamonds with sauce, centrifuge said diamonds and sauce then decarb diamonds then re-add terps?
Make literally any consistency that will crystallize. Pyrex tech or just a jar not capped over night will give you good separation then use that.
Ok. So just leave the jar full of diamonds and sauce in the jar, syringe up any terps then decarb diamonds and readd the same terps.
Could this be done with HTE? Just decarb raw diamonds and readd HTE?
