I love infused joints. I made some this weekend with cones, nice Oregon flower and some full spectrum extract sold in a syringe. It’s not a technique that would scale well, but it serves my purposes.
Because infused joints are freaking expensive! Those floor sweepings and dark oil are expensive when you wrap it up so I can’t see how low quality it is.

I wanted to make something I liked to smoke so ….This is how I do it. Basically its a food safe cement mixer made out of a motor, 2 stainless bowls and a speed controller. It takes about 5kg’s of material and the whole bowl comes off for easy transfers

I’ve made them using a kitchenaid mixer using a mix of disty and terps from the same flower for a single source type infused preroll.
Just use your lowest grade bubble with your highest grade smalls. Grind and blend together. BOOSH! Amazing tasting joints that take minimal extra effort and pack a serious punch. Mine hit at 30%+.
That’s exactly what I like.
We tried a few ways of infusing but they were all really messy and slow. We had messaged Custom Cone USA about their infuser just cant understand why that stupid machine would be worth $125K lolllll

Assuming that’s 100% distillate, what temp is it at? It looks very “liquidy”
Do you get lumpy pieces or does it mix pretty well together? How long do you usually run it and how much oil by weight? Do you recommend letting it rest before running it through a cone filler?
Does the mixer have a name or did you guys put it together?

I built the mixer myself using food grade parts. I mix for 12mins and then 20mins in a vmixer to make sure its homogeneous
I dont rest or chill the material. Honestly every strain is different so ymmv
I’ve got my kitchenaid prepped up for two batches today, spiking to 35% total THC.
Whats your setup look like?
ultra basic. popcorn is run through a futrola-type grinder. Mixing happens in a pre-heated basic stainless kitchenaid mixer bowl (with paddle) with a 7.5% terpene/distillate mix (terpenes match the flower). Amount of distillate calculated to hit 35% total THC. Once flower and disty are blended it goes through a sieve to homogenize and then to a standard knock box.
Are you spraying the mixture in or how exactly are you applying the distillate terp mix?
What kind of loss do you get with the mixer and bowl? Usual transfer loss or more?

Found a local solventless l2l that will wash dry trim for $60 a lb then I can infuse my licensed flower into pre rolls at his facility
Lb of has costs 600
I sell myself littles at 1k per lb and I’ve got 5 lbs of infused material that will make 2200 1g products for 4600 plus labor
Add in a glass tipped blunt/cone amd glass bottle with label for 2-2.50 amd you are making them for under 5 cost.
The lowest whole sale is like 8 bucks for these so while not a crazy profit margin it allows you to get rid of smalls and trim for better than wholesale pricing
This is the way
Distillate/terp mix is preheated in an oven to 90C. Ground flower goes in preheated bowl first, then get mixer up to speed and drizzle straight into the bowl. You’ll get some caked on the bowl, but scrape it all onto your sieve and mash it through with a gloved hand. A heat gun on LOW helps a lot here breaking up clumps on the screen. It’s less hassle than it seems. I expected it to be a major pain, especially with the knock box.
PreRoll-Er is now making a machine to create infuse prerolls. There’s two methods, the first one is using direct distillates injection in a preroll, the other one is making your infuse mix and put it in the machine.

Imagine if pre-rolls were just made with good, high quality indoor flower. There would be no need to “infuse” them. As a consumer I’ve always steered clear of infused pre-rolls because I presumed they were made from trash floor trimmings. Another example of recreational turd polishing. The game is whack as fuck.
