Regarding pure hash joints - I’ve had luck 2 ways. One is more basic - roll a sheet of half melt bubble/dry sift into a cylinder.
The other involves taking no melt dry sift, and putting it into a cylinder mold the size of a cigarette. Then you take a (fully clean) drill bit, and drill a perfectly straight hole through the center. This part is challenging.
If it came to automting either process, however, I think the second could be better. You could make a filling machine that fills the mold with kief and inserts a center rod for the airpath prior to pressing and heating the hash. Then it would push out the hollowed out cylinder of hash.

That machine doesn’t exist - that sku is not a particularly demanded product yet afaik, since it’s not a particularly well known product.
But a machine like that could be designed and fabricated if one decided that it has potential to be the next big thing.
