Making Diamonds in mason Jars

totally agree

This is from letting the guys crash out at room temp for a while and then making them loose.

The real predicament is how to deal with the turbid mother liquor post loosifying them. If you don’t deal with the turbidity you will get a layer of “kinetic sand” mixed w terps that totally detracts from the beauty of the facets

Little extra gas after breaking the puck is very helpful for keeping the sugars away.

So not sure exactly what went wrong here. This is fresh out of the dry ice after 19 hours. I precisely followed all the previous steps leading up to putting it in dry ice. Any ideas on what I did incorrectly?

Correct. Not enough butane left in solution!

Looks like a great pull, though. you’ll definitely get some stones.

They nailed it before I could chime in! Lol

Any vessel in Wich a solvent with low boiling point especially a gas at Room temp should NEVER be filled over 80% of it s volume

The biomass tube is often overfilled a prv should be in place at least and not left unattended

The jar was only filled about 1/3 of the way. I must not had left enough solvent in it. I’m also using a 70/30 blend for solvent, would that have a negative effect on the outcome? Round 2 tonight, hopefully there is a much different outcome. Thanks for the help!

When it first came out of my closed loop it was however it went into the oven for 1 to 2 hours and then I let it rest at room temperature for almost an hour prior to putting it in the dry ice
