What is a “meltable gummy base”? On the website it just looks like bags of gummy bears.

yeah, they’ve scaled sorting bags of albanese gummy bears so you can remelt them.
Take a 5lb bag of albanese gummies
Right when the last gummy bear shapes are melted stir in distillate (5lbs makes 150-200 gummies depending on mood size)
Add 2-4 packages Kerr gelatin
Spray molds with coconut Pam
Pour crockpot into 2 disposable pastry bags (use an empty pitcher to hold pastry bag) it gets kinda warm, I use an oven mitt on one hand to support bag)
Squirt the melted gummy mix into molds, let sit for a few hours. I toss in sugar and store in bulk in gallon ziplocks in the fridge.
He has won awards with this recipe, so have others. I received a few great magazine reviews with this recipe as well.
