So we use 190 proof ethanol as a winterization solvent by cooling it down to -80°C. Would it instead be possible to dissolve our crude in 190 proof ethanol and slowly add water to lower the proof and drop the fats out?
There are techs posted on here about using high water content alcohols to winterize at room temperature. I think it would probably be better to premix your water and ethanol before dissolving the oil so you don’t overshoot the mark and drop cannabinoids out too.
Could you link to one of those please?
