Looking for a few good people!

I wasn’t in a situation where I could hire legal employees I’m having to deal with the people that I know and apparently I deal with a bunch of f****** weirdos believe me if I can put ads out and interview people and stuff like that I’ll fire all those f***** wookie I always have to bite my tongue to not tell him how bad they f****** suck I guess a tiny tiny bit of help is better than no help at all but I think like there’s some pulling some psychological move to make me always be f***** up and never get ahead ideally The Works can at least sell the damn weed little bit how the hell do I sell so much and they can’t even sell a tiny bit

The local gas station had a sign outside today urgent hiring $15 an hour that’s the sit on your ass and be a cashier

I would gladly be your wook if we lived close to each other. $18 an hour and some weed? Deal!

My point in all this, to circle back to the original topic is this;

It has become the norm to underpay, underappreciate, and exploit low wage physical laborers.

But they are the backbone on industry.

And it’s not always a lack of hustling or ambition that makes rags into riches. There’s only so many offices available on the top floor…

Not everyone can win, regardless of how hard they work.

It’s a dominance hierarchy that has existed since the dawn of modern civilization. It’s not our faults necessarily because it’s a biological phenomenon and one that has served me well in understanding.

However we should not forget to treat people who support our success at the top by grinding away at the bottom.

Besides if you don’t pay your employees well 90% of them will stop doing a good job or fucking steal from you.

And unless you’re an asshole like Jeff Bezos you can’t sleep at night knowing you run an oppressive enterprise.

That being said @JedClampet is not one of those guys. He is a solid dude who helps out the community and I’m sure would be a great employer!

Alplogies for the rant lol

We have starting pay and skilled labor pay. Get skills, get more money. Don’t know shit, don’t get shit for pay. If you set the bar low enough, everyone can jump over it. Set the bar just high enough, people will have put effort into jumping over it. Then they have a sense of accomplishment and then their pay will reflect.

Sent you a DM. Recently moved back to Oklahoma from Montana. I’d love to see what you have going on and find out more about the lab management position. This seems to be about the same scale as the facility I ran.

you can rent a house for like 600 bucks a month there

im seeing similar but I cant imagine abandoning my dog.- oops i thought you meant thailand.

im in chicago and a MANSION is like 4k a month. 3 renters and its cheap and you have so much space its a non issue as long as someone isnt an asshole I used to have 800 credit and never respected that it can have value, Id be able to rent anywhre with that. I was using poker as supplimental income and then covid happened and it shut down im back to making more than i can at a job but I need a damn job to get on paper= npbody wants to rent to a poker pro. now that i quit growing im finding more customers, thats all i ever needed but its tough as a old paraniod hermit.

Poker can be a job to get on paper. All these problems really aren’t that hard to solve if you want too. I don’t need a response, i wont read it. He’s offering a job your not gonna take no reason to insult the man for needing to hire someone. A business can only pay what it can afford or NO ONE makes 13 and hr everyone makes fuck all nothing.

Within reason. If a job can’t pay a reasonable wage for the work they’re doing in the region they’re doing it in, not suggesting that’s the case here, then they either need to roll up their sleeves and do the work for themselves until they can afford to or until it is, in fact, time to shut the doors.

As a business owner you take all the risk. Legal risk, that’s on you, risk of losing your initial investment, on you, risk of making less than a reasonable wage for your efforts, you. The flip side to that coin is all the rewards are yours to take. Awards and ceremonies, those are for you, massive return on your investment, for you, earning more than you would’ve ever earned as an employee, you.

You know who doesn’t get those rewards and shouldn’t be expected to take those risks?

I was pointing out that on indeed the jobs in OK pay the same as here. Like 18 an hour for a decent starting job doing basic work.

ya and the only reason a business can start is with capitol which is why most employees are working and if they cant live in the area with the wages you offer what’s the point of working then if you will be in more debt by accepting a low paying job… a capitol investment shouldn’t mean all the rewards are solely yours you can’t run a business by yourself unless fully optimized… this ideology is partly why the economy is in such turmoil.
