Falling Film Evaporators still need a secondary Post-FFE Evaporator. 
If you really want to recover faster: just keep your basin at a higher pressure. The higher the pressure, the less enthalpy that is required to make the same volume of solvent boil off completely.

Seems like a reasonable enough tip. It looks like a few designs are implemented as such, like the ETS design here:
You should be able to dial it in so as to get your ideal pool volume/consistency.

For having a clean clear out and not having residual oil, like downtheterphole mentioned, use refluxing vapor, just got to make sure everything drains via gravity to where you want.
