I just need to bump the temps… checks all jars, and the rest is history
Ah yes, the kiss of death for any worthy task!
I think it’s because the only part that feels like work is the time away from family. Otherwise I’m having the time of my life in the garden and lab.
i have to assume no one does this since its not listed here…
Have none of you boiled your clothes for 10-15 mins in oxyclean or alconox???
This will remove just about any stain or oil. Been using this since my BMX days to take grease and oil outta clothing… works on cannabis oil too…
stain remover and leaving corn starch on the oil stain works wonders too…
detergent isn’t part of the average wook religion
Isn’t clean clothes against their religion too. So why would they worry about “a badge of honor”
it’s only once in a blue super moon harvest will you see a wook in clean clothes, typically after a pay that consist more than yerbas and finger hash.
Does this work on old oil stains too? I got a bunch of heat transfer oil on a shirt I really like and couldn’t get the oil stains out with Dawn and laundry soap. Might have to boil up some Alconox tonight…
and when the awesome cloths shrink from boiling water and no longer fit i can take them and give them another life~
Aren’t most clothes pre shrunk these days. None of my clothes ever get smaller. Maybe it’s the cheap clothes I wear.
I practically wash my clothes always in hot water and it’s nearly boiling hot
Have you tried dawn on the stain and pating corn starch on the oil and dawn and leaving it for 24 or so hours?? The dawn works as a surfactant and the corn starch absorbs it.
Cold water takes blood out better .
Once it sets it’s there forever.
All of my gis have other peoples blood on them and it’s kinda gross tbh.
nothing compares to when i was a blacksmith / fabricator for 5 years.
clothes get destroyed. i only bought random shit at goodwill where shirts are like 2 bucks and pants are like 3 dollars.
i had maybe 2 outfits that were for outside of work haha
Did you get burn holes or was it carbon
i had burn holes…weld spatter holes… metal shavings, wire cup grinder tears, hydraulic grease, plasma table slag/water goop. smelling ferrous materials ALL day really fucks your respiratory system too. my nose hairs by the 2nd week became so thick and they like multiplied. it was like if my nose hairs were a few small birch trees on the side of the road and then they turned into the Red Wood forest.
I tried baking soda overnight to absorb cuz it was drenched and then soaked in dawn for a while. Guess I did it backwards? IDK I have a bunch of corn starch that I’ll never use in the kitchen so I’ll give it a go with a dawn scrub then corn starch layer and leaving for a day, then boiling in Alconox. Couldn’t hurt it any more.
And yeah @c0dean I almost forgot about the 6 months I spent as a welder in my early 20’s. That was the absolute worst job ever, no A/C in the summer in AZ and I’m either catching sparks or layered with so much leather that you pass out.
i really havent found an oil stain that wont take out with one or 2 applications… its saved soo many articles of clothing over the years… dont remember where i learnt it but its been a miracle for many years on my clothes
@EHO_AZ dude i dont even want to imagine. in central KY in August the blacksmith shop was around 122 degrees. i don’t want to imagine when YOUR summers it could be 100 just outside on any given day and dry as fuck.
you know your job is gonna suck when the bosses hand out popsicles and ice cream every 45 minutes and let you take a 15. Or pickle juice pouches in the breakroom " hey guys got you some more gatorades"
you would have to make sure you remembered if you have urinated or not.
Shit the job is hell when they hand you squenchers every morning, and the squencher popsicles! Mid summer in my part hits 145°f they’ll never show that on record though.
I also worked in a steel mill for a few months a long time ago and it was consistently 165-175°f on the deck and you were in FR full boot and suit with long John’s underneath. That was like being in this meme
