Lol. who else has ruined clothes in this industry?

That’s fuckin gross dude… just use disposable gloves they are cheap

They aren’t cheap and they are really bad for the environment and I don’t see how clean neoprene automotive gloves are gross?

If I’m handling carts or edibles sure. But I’m wrenching a lot and I tear gloves left and right and scrape my knuckles

I heard LCB was finding plastic contamination from certain gloves, OPP or something

Just cleaning mechanics gloves like that leaves a plethora of crevices for bacteria you likely cannot see to grow, even though you drench in iso or etoh, that won’t take care of the microbial growth present.

Got a link on that?

Nope, just heard through the grapevine

This stuff right here has worked for me to get rid of stains and take the sticky off. I’ve used it on pants, hoodies and lab coats

You know a lot of microbes and bacteria that survive in 190 either after an overnight soak?

Actually 140 proof is better at killing bacteria then 190

Ethanol/ alcohol may assist in the removal but it does not entirely kill 99.99% of bacteria and or spores.
There’s a reason @ky_cbd suggested just tossing them, they’re a literal breeding ground in a lab.

Try fluoroantimonic acid… or maybe even hydridohelium… if you’re going to war with bacteria…

Or you know… be a sane reasonably safe individual and use bleach + warm water, it will eradicate them all.

Or just rough your hands up while wrenching, and use sterile nitrile gloves you can replace every time you go to change a task or in between anything in general due to the fact cross contamination is a real thing. Doesn’t matter what you’re doing, you should want to control each part of the process to be as sanitary as possible if wanting to ensure the cleanliness of your process and facility are up to par, I won’t say standard cause it’s not a standard for most.

Oh it matters.

Especially if the process is related to a product intended for human consumption.

Sounds like you guys need the new skyblue FR lab clothes

I like to forget to close the stopcock on the separatory funnel. I mean I open it to clean but always forget not to leave it that way

I’m SO glad I’ve never EVER done such a lukewarm IQ, mouth breathing thing as that. Like not even 5 or 6 times………… definitely less than 10…. :upside_down_face:
