found thrips yesterday but they are easy.

My best friend was going to Culinary Institute of America back then, in Hyde Park, New York. He used to get Bubblegum (I assume it’s the same). Sooooo good. I wish I had some cuts of that!

Send them my way if he doesn’t want to. I’ll pheno hunt and share the gold with the crew here!

I used to grow Sweet Tooth #3 back in the day, LUI (meh), and few others. Breeder Steve had it going on. I once had an invite to visit him in Switzerland when he was breeding there. I kick myself for not going.

Hey Peakseeds carries C99 and a bunch of other cool stuff.
https://peakseedsbc.com/foundationalGenetics.html

I’ve ordered from them multiple times never an issue.

They have C99, sweet island skunk and a bunch of blueberry/ skunk / kush crosses, price is right and the quality is there.

in my recent experience even souls gear isnt repping c99 well. I think if fdm is legit then they are a source or joey weed on hemp depot is legit but thats straight c99- wont yield. the gd from fdm is sick. they did say 2002 and that is about when i got gd? it was SICK get a few packs and im sure a few will be airborne dom.

Steve, the original IBG breeder from Indiana is good friends with AgTonik, the company. He was friends with David Watson (Skunkman Sam) and traded regularly genetics from around the world before the whole legal fiasco went down.

I got a clone from 98-2000 from a guy on IG. @GummyJ helped me find some early Dutch beans of it, so we are hoping to get something reminiscent of the original cross back for the breeder. I have a thread going on Bean Basement about it.

EDIT: Pounds of IBG happily flooded the midwest back then. It was fire compared to the Mexican brick I was used to getting. I know that region New York is one place in particular they were delivered to.

Great story! I wish you the best on the project.

I joined BB a little while ago, but I haven’t spent much time there yet. I thought it was a site for trading and sourcing seeds, but it seems to be a forum for discussion only? Are there hidden sub-forums there or something? Maybe I need some number of posts to see everything? (Or I’m just getting old, and eye sight is going, lol)

You have some amazing connections and history, very cool.

Since we’re strolling down memory lane, it would be remiss not mention the early 2000’s Florida cuts of GDP

And how about Cat Piss from FL?! Anyone had that? Damn, it stank

Sorry I didn’t see this. I’m new to the forum and I don’t think I have my settings correct.

Osmopriming for very old seeds may be preferred instead of hydropriming, halopriming, or hormopriming (like with GA3), because osmopriming offers more controlled hydration though higher osmotic pressure and lower water potential without high EC and PGRs. It’s like drinking a gallon of water all at once (hydropriming) vs. slowly sipping a gallon throughout the day (osmopriming). Too much water, too quickly, can kick start the seeds too soon causing radical growth before full metabolic activation.

The PEG solution is used in osmopriming to prevent radical protrusion while allowing enough hydration for pregerminative metabolic activation, reducing negative effect on cell membrane restoration when the seeds are too quickly hydrated (using hydropriming).

To osmoprime, you want a PEG 600 solution at about -1 to -1.5 MPa. Around 5% w/w can work well. It’s important to aerate the solution while osmopriming. Soak for 24-hours. Then let air dry on a paper towel for example. Now the seeds are primed and can be sowed right away, or stored and sowed later.

This is a good resource:
