It’s extremely smooth. You are very correct about that. I finish my entire dab before I let out a little “I got the black lung pops” cough. I personally like the terps. They don’t have that stringent taste to them.

Approaching 1000 posts on this thread! Everyone loves the trash to treasure business model, which is why I developed the color polishing tek in the first place… turning greens to golds and shit to shatter! @Waxplug1, man that mention of B80 takes me way back, and yes sir, definitely vacuum bake the crap out of any dirt or charcoal one plans to use for extraction and especially for distillation processes! But what’s really interesting is how important intercalated and other waters of hydration are to the decoloring activity… vacuum heat drying is good, but, maybe surprisingly, too much calcination, especially in air, isn’t. There are so many variables in clays, it can take years to get it just right…

I dont think we all love it. I think its the hand that is deal more often than not. I think every single person would agree that we all just want to smoke and extract only the top shelf nugs and material but 95% of the time thats not what we get. This is so people dont have to throw that material away. Make something better than it was.
I dont think any of us want to add steps to extraction. Since you worked on this in the past, Have you tried to pesticide remedy this way? Was it successful? Im assuming not otherwise we might have heard this working in the field already.

Honestly, my favorite straight unmodified extraction material is sugar trim, not nugs, since the resin load is very high, the particle size and packing density is perfect, and the resin is slightly less mature (than on flowers) and therefore lighter in color, naturally.
Pesticide remediation is highly dependent on the pesticides in question. Different dirt has different affinities for different functional groups.
As for hearing of things working, often the most effective methods never leave the labs in which they are developed. Eventually everything will come to light, but like this whole difficult laborious birth of ending prohibition, it’s a slow process for a reason. We ultimately want people to stop using so many poisons on these medicinal plants, so it’s best not to just give everyone the green light to poison the hell out of everything because we extractionists can fix it, you know?

This stuff still tastes like the trim it came from, at the end of the day this stuff is worth as much as distillate as far as im concerned, unless it was made with a higher quality material.

I can’t wrap my head around that one, LMAO but I know y’all right… But, this where it stumps me… When I first learned distalite I was assuming it would be triple the price,esp on equipment stand point
$2k(everything, assuming you didn’t have to go all out!) equipment ,makes high $ stuff…

Nobody runs good stuff into distillate and makes a profit on it. The price has fallen too much and unless you have a step for isolating the terpenes inline like @ExTek90 or at least pre decarb, everyone throws the Terps away. Some terps start to smell rancid post decarb

You can basically run crude with this method and make it look like a million bucks. End of the day… its just clear crude!

I see really small yields if I run trash and turn into gold…also it will be sappy as hell, but hey if it makes fire crude then good distilling should be easy after that
