Indofabs C.R.C & BHO Color Remediation Tek

I thought same thing. Maybe too many fats/lipids in trichome heads.
But when I ran 5 different strains, they all nucleated after 12 hours or so.

This only happened. When I increased powders to go from gold to yellow/clear.

Has to be reaction with one of these powders. Gonna ditch A.A. Today and see how she pours

I would recommend taking aa out the equation. It could also be the way your running…are you running cold?

yeah I would run celite or DE. Pretty important to try and keep powders out of your final product… I notice the white clear always sugars on me too. I mean we are using chromatography so in my mind its a result of the compounds being separated as they pass through the cake.

Running at 45f not that cold. I mean I run slow. Valves frost up immediately so it’s not that warm. Whenever I run too cold yield is boo boo.

Ahit I used to pull clear shatter out of open blast power 5x lmao.
I have ran over every parameter and don’t get me wrong. Running -10c killed the sugar but also killed the yeild

I guess I’m being stubborn.
We had good results with not Celine or DE.

Only difference was it wasn’t the finest filtration. Only
Using minimal powders to turn dark amber into goldish amber. All those were clear stable w/ no Nucleation only until I added more of all powders.

On the plus side. I have boulders forming in my jar tek after 4 days

I could be wrong but I believe I’ve been able to keep powders out. Simply due to the fact that I have produced clear slabs without any contaminant or foggy residue.

I’ve seen product with powders that made their way through either I’ve been lucky or my compression wrongs and filter paper are holding up!

Does anyone know if the silica will get through a 5 um sintered disc? Should I upgrade to the 1 um?

Stick with the five but get some 1um filter paper and a filter paper clamp

Running now
75 t5 per lb
25 t41 per lb
And
50 silica.per lb

15 min soak
45f solvent. 70/30
running as slow as my shitty taxtractor depot ball valves will allow

I’m almost certain powder is getting by on mine. I just added back butane to a slab to filter out some particles that got into the dabs and when I put through the butane mix through a coffee filter I caught a bunch of stuff that looks like silica. I’m using a closed loop with nitrogen assist with silica directly on top of my 5 um Chinese sintered disc and t-5 on top of that. I’ve got no filters in between the powder or on top of the sintered disc. Here’s some pics of what I filtered out with the coffee filter and and some stuff that’s left in the jar. image image

You can’t see anything in the slabs they looked fine beforehand. Here’s a pic of the starting material.

You are without question getting silica in your oil. You need to use a cake of celite above your last filter to prevent anything from slipping by.

I’d go silica 60, t-5 and then a 1ā€ cake of celite. The celite needs to be pressed in tight or vac assisted to make sure it’s done right

Even with a sintered filter?

Absolutely need to use celite still. He clearly used a sintered filter and got silica past it.

Celite in a cake is essentially 0 micron. Nothing gets past it.

You guys need to do some reading, this has been the standard for a long time.

Not trying to be a dick here

I mean i use celite on top of a filter plate with 2, 6, and 16 um paper filters. Under that is my welded disc. I just assumed the disc would stop it. I have read this thread a few times and recall ppl not using celite at all

Your lowest micron is 2. Your assuming powder can’t get through that?

Celite in my opinion is the most important part of filtration after your crc powders. Sintered filter is nice, but as long as the celite packed right, the sintered filter won’t ever see anything

No my lowest micron is the welded sintered disc. 1 um. From what i understand if you wash the fines the particle sizes should be bigger then 1um

My bad, 1micron. Wouldn’t you want to keep that thing clean as a whistle and just use it as a fail safe instead?

How is the coffee filter stopping it if that’s only 20 um?

Like i said i do use celite. This is just for conversation sake.
I know @sonicgardens said he doesnt use celite anymore
