Spot on IMO. Especially with those Covid vaccine backroom deals between EU comissary von der Leyen with Pfizer (where all the SMS she exchanged with Bourla of Pfizer disappeared) and the rate of severe side effects like myocarditis were intentionally underreported by a factor of 10! The EMA would have never signed off on a vaccine (or any drug for that matter) like that under normal circumstances.
Do you remember which one (name/manufacturer)? Was it against Pneumococcus?
I don’t think so. But there was always controversy, especially with the ones against HPV and the hexavalent ones for newborns. Somehow it all got swept under the rug.
I also got really sick after my kid got the Rotavirus shot. Nobody told us it’s a live virus that WILL get you sick, and all of us got it really bad. It was basically very much like Covid. And this is an officially recommended one!
absolutely in the case of Pfizer/Moderna/Biontech. How else does this shit get approved if studies show it’s basically poison? Officials knew about it and NOTHING happened when the real numbers about severe side effects got out.
Oh shit. Yeah I feel like once this medicine takes hold I might end up skip the lowering my tolerance period and going straight for the tolerance break.
I only have a little under ¼ ounce left of the last ounce I got a couple of weeks ago.
I smoke every 4 hours but I try to aim for 6 but I kinda rely on it for the lows of life.
Not like I’m mad and I’m gonna smoke because I can’t deal with general emotions more like a inner feeling like feeling my body in my body but also feeling like what do I do and I feel like a piece of meat.
I’ve been doing really good at making it 4 hours before I hit the bong in the morning. So it takes around 4 hours of being awake before I start to feel low.
I took everyone’s advice and to get into doing soemthig in the morning that’s physical. So I’ve been exercising again and trying to make my health a priority again.
Inflammatory foods are a big one too. I love chocolate. LOOOOOOVE IT!!!
Could be dropping endogenous cortisol levels that make you feel like that. The timing fits perfectly.
Especially if your body is dealing with inflammatory load, that gets attenuated by cortisol and once the levels drop, you’ll feel your immune system working hard
“The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis regulates the production of cortisol.”
The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is a critical part of the body’s stress response system, regulating the release of cortisol (a key stress hormone) and other hormones that influence metabolism, immune function, and mood. The HPA axis involves interactions between the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and adrenal glands.
Cannabis, particularly the cannabinoids like THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol), can influence the HPA axis in several ways:
Acute Effects:
THC: Studies have shown that THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis, can activate the HPA axis, causing a temporary increase in cortisol levels. This can result in heightened stress or anxiety in some individuals, especially at higher doses.
CBD: Unlike THC, CBD may have a more calming effect. Some research suggests that CBD could modulate HPA axis activity by reducing cortisol levels, potentially lowering stress and anxiety.
Chronic Use:
THC: Long-term cannabis use, especially in heavy or frequent users, may lead to dysregulation of the HPA axis. Chronic exposure to THC can disrupt normal cortisol secretion and reduce the body’s stress response over time, potentially leading to a blunted response to stress.
CBD: The impact of chronic CBD use on the HPA axis is less understood but might involve improved resilience to stress or better regulation of cortisol levels in response to stress.
Stress Response: Cannabis, particularly THC, can either amplify or dampen the body’s stress response depending on the dose and individual sensitivity. The endocannabinoid system, which is influenced by cannabis, plays a role in how the body adapts to stress and anxiety.
In summary, cannabis can have complex and dose-dependent effects on the HPA axis, potentially altering how the body handles stress and affecting cortisol levels. While THC may increase cortisol and stress responses acutely, CBD might help mitigate some of these effects. However, the long-term consequences of cannabis use on the HPA axis require further research.
I’m sorry that you’re feeling anxious. That’s a crappy feeling. @PharmExOregon was it CBG that you used while you were on your TBreak? I think it was.
I hope you find what works for you quickly and start feeling good again. I’ve been on a smoking break while road tripping in Texas and this is not the life for me.
I enjoy low THC, whole flower joints throughout the day. Texas is wild. There’s weed for sale everywhere and also huge billboards telling you that they would love to put you in prison about it. The air BNB said they watch the cameras and you can’t even vape outside the house. (Fine, I’ll vape inside)
It’s nuts that were still wasting dollars on prohibition.
Just an opinion (and method that I’ve used for nicotine…) - mark the times you smoke, and increase it by ~30-90 minute increments every day depending on what you can handle. That extra time may suck, but during it I just tell myself “This substance is trying to keep me captive. There is NO WAY I’m going to allow myself to be overpowered by a mere plant”, etc (that may sound crazy but it makes sense when my mind is in nic withdrawal mode). Every time I get through the extra time I get a sense of accomplishment, which pushes me to keep going.
Also great to hear that you’re exercising more!
As a side note, for nicotine I’ve used Tabex/cytisine tablets. Cytisine is a partial nicotinic receptor agonist, so it hits the receptors enough to slightly reduce cravings but also only releases a fraction of the dopamine/etc that nicotine does. It’d be nice if there was a product like that for THC.
No, the antivax folks are just exercising their constitutionally assured right to say fucking retarded things about science that doesn’t support their viewpoint
I’m really sorry to hear about your sister. That’s a horrible thing to go through, and I send my condolences to you and your family.
I hate anti-vax politics because it forces people into extreme positions that no one actually believes in, short of a few crazy hippies and victims of the recent global misinformation campaign.
I believe in science. I bet most people here do too. The MMR vax has been around since the 70s, and very few had adverse reactions. My mom has a smallpox vaccine scar, which I don’t because we effectively eliminated it from earth using said vaccines! Maybe there were a lot of adverse reactions that were easier to cover up without internet… but my money is on these new vaccines being different than old. There’s probably a profit incentive to making unproven vaccines. The approval process may be too slow and burdensome, so big pharma engages in deceptive behavior. There could be too little oversight, so big pharma can get away with deceptive behavior. Either way its an issue. @GroovyOctopusLabs I’m sorry for derailing your thread again and again.
I think we fucked up breeding 32% thca strains. I think infused shake is a mistake. I think that 23% thca is good the fuck enough. I think that if you need super high potent thca you need a tolerance break.
It’s more like I just kinda wanted assurance and to hear some stories about people’s experiences with tolerance breaks and ssris and I got what I wanted.
It’s not all about the super potent weed and how we want lower strains and strong strains.
…In fact that was never the point of this thread. It was more about community support and advice on quitting or taking a break from cannabis
I agree. Its just like everything else. Tomatoes that are rock-hard until they hit store shelves. Blueberries the size of grapes, and grapes the size of apples!
Try convincing 99% of consumers they should spend the same exact money for 10% LESS THC.
