For the next two months you need to do nothing but be happy & worry free brother, think of that seven as a lucky number, it may fade in time, but you made it out & the experience will just become a strength in strides once all said & done.

It’s might hurt a little coughing, I’ll see if I can whip up a batch of honey.

I’m sending my spd stuff to him, so he’ll have something to play with for a couple of months at least!

Death lurks around, creeping like a shadow on a sundial making each piece of time it passes more and more precious to experience with fulfillment and solace to the soul.

Sometimes death comes lurking at the wrong time. I’m so glad it wasn’t your time @StoneD .

I also had some pins and plates in my leg.
Tip: If you still have pain in it after physical therapy, have the metal removed! I went from constant pain, limping, problem with my joints, to 95% normal almost overnight after they removed all the metal. (They can’t remove it until one year after)
Looks like you had a good surgeon from the x-rays. Make sure to stay off of it. Drink lots of ipa, I hear the silica content helps to rebuild bone quicker and it helps increase the effect of the pain meds.
Be careful with the pain medication. You’ll need em, but don’t abuse them… Watch out for the Tylenol content, you can OD on that before you od on oxy.
Careful in the shower. I broke 2 casts from slipping, hand rail and a nice shower seat works amazing, as well as a garbage bag around the cast.
Get a comfy chair, and a nice TV show to binge. Relax and let it heal. There’s nothing else you can do.
Its just like waiting on your vac oven… time. Lol
Glad to hear you made it out ok. Those kinds of moments change us and give us more appreciation towards what we have.
Think of every day as a bonus now. Enjoy them all, and make sure to love and live like it could be your last.
God only knows when it actually is…

Yeah, it’s an experience getting used to the metal. My neck used to get colder than the rest of my body until my fusion grew in. Still tell when the pressure drops, and I’m curious as to how it will feel in a more humid and hot environment.

I think that everything happens for a reason. You are supposed to be alive, that’s why you’re still here. Every day is a gift, don’t ruin it buy dwelling on the past. I’ll be praying for a speedy and healthy recovery!
