Entire building
2x315 veg
4x 315 flower
Plus clone room, work room, ac, deheuys, etc.
Man on 14k flower with ac’s Dehues and veg my bill was around 900
I dont make the cost per kw, I just gladly pay my bill every month.
Yeah Sorry if I come across as a dick, I’m just blown away with the cost. That’s brutal man.
seems like a steal! Ive seen bills with half that kw cost twice as much! Power is $$$!
Washington just has to be cheap somehow. I’ve been staring down ugly bills for a long time. But generally it came down to inefficient equipment. Like a 13 seer 5 ton Goodman AC unit. It ran faithfully for years. But was a learning lesson in the value of a high seer unit. That AC cost me around 350-400 a month for the ac alone
Shit cmp Rob’s me up in maine. We pay 1500-2k a month right now for roughly 10kw of lights
I almost pooped myself when I saw those power bills!
My total grow footprint is 4*6, so I’m just not used to seeing how much electricity it takes to run bigger ops haha.
yeppers
That’s gotta be kw rating. I’m glad it’s lower here. Those bills would have crushed me during the slow times.
There’s a big lawsuit thing happening we think the power company has massive billing errors
WoW that’s cheap! $0.25 per KW here, plus transmition costs. I haven’t seen a bill under $1250 in yrs… All this talk on cmh now I wanna get me some. Maybe next run I guess. I run 5 de and 6 hps units right now.
Buy quantum boards and a dimmer and wire it yourself with wagos. It’s not that difficult if you do your research. Far easier than extraction. The CMH have awesome spectrum but led is more efficient and you can add far red and UV
must be nice i hit over 1k/month easy with just 8 lights and mini split
I vouch for CMH with low ceiling been rocking since the sunsystems came out. @Demontrich is on point with everything minus the glass does block uv a b c( I think it was 2 of the 3) those spectrums kill molds bacteria. your environment has a huge play if you got large ceiling I’d go HPS all day at most with every other light swapped with CMH or LED. You’ll kill it. Cmh by itself are great fluence VYPR + 1k de HPS with high ceiling wreck numbers. Dont grow to big of plants on cmh!! They penetrate between led and HPS good but not great. I’m having some 945w DE CMH getting manufactured in china as we speak with some model h Phillips LEDS. These resellers are making a KILLING. $1500 led for $335 using phillip parts
Edison has TOU rates (time of use) on tiered my tier 3 is almost 30 cents a kilowatt. I’m in tou-d-prime and for 19 hours of my day my rate is 13cents a kW in the summers 12 for winters. There is a peak usage point at 38 cents a kilowatt for 5 hours a day. But I’ll pay double on like 12 kilowatts a day if my 166 at night is almost 1/3rd the price
Thays why I have custom low E glass made for my hoods. I dont post all my little tricks all the time.
Also t9 and t12 bulbs make a difference. Single jacket vs double jacket.
You do NOT want uvc exposure around yourself, plants, or pets. Its 100% no bueno!
Uva and uvb only.
Yeah my kw rating is .097. Running 5 tons of cooling and 14 lights.
Cmh already has uva/b. I know personally, I run t9 bulbs in special glass that does not block uv (low E iirc), and a costly upgrade.
Also, my panda floor liner I replace every 20 weeks of flower use, as it dry rots the plastic die to the uv.
I’ve been running cree cxb3590’s for a few years. Due to power and ceiling constraints it’s the best I’ve found. If I had ceiling height and more power I’d probably run de hps. I can still hit 1-2g/watt dried and cured. It works for me.
