They right butane makes way easier. But 2oz the hte to 2oz shatter or less shatter. Ur gone have to disrespect this hte by getting so hot it’ll fully dissolve the shatter. When its all liquid seal the jar.i would not go over 130f to 160f to not decarb the thca. And fast. When you seal the jar set on 90f it should melt the rest if enough hte
Although small amount butane added to this would make this much easier. Add 1/3 tane wait till slow moving bubbles seal jar

Looks like it will budder up without any tane probably due to not extracting cold enough. It still may sugar up on u though. Keep it warm dont open for few days
How much hte did u add and shatter?

I didn’t have enough as what you said so just decided to run with what I had 28g shatter 15g HTE. I don’t have a pic of it before but here is where I am at now. Has been between 90-95f for a few hours.

Looking better keep it warm leave it sealed… a glass shatter would be more ideal and super thin at room temp terps(hte) would be best for this. Looks like it will sugar if all goes right

No burp. Shouldn’t really have pressure… unless ur products wasnt properly cured
The mai. Thing was to not get to hot melting the shatter bc then u cause decarb( means no sugar or stones or budder for that matter)

when uve waited week or so…open it stir those terps into and reseal to help w final crystallization. After that I wait day or so then let sit room temp for day before vac
I believe dropping the temp in the end when u think its done to just a cool room temp will cause the terps to be less solube hopefully dropping the rest of the thca thats dissolved in it

Someone recommended doing a 24hr freeze after a week and pouring off any impurities if so. Thoughts?

Maybe they’re thinking cold would ensure the impurities (Which I’m assuming they mean butane/solvents) would be a liquid, and could be “poured off”?

While you might not have performed that trick, or seen it done, THCA can absolutely be precipitated from an ethanolic solution.

That’s interesting but I’m sure this person isn’t using cryo or even sub zero Temps minus what the solvent might freeze boil at doing it in jars?
So I have had many offers to do this process to make quality shatter and have plenty of it to experiment with right now. I read the entire thread from beginning to end and was just interested in some specifics. Did you dissolve and CRC through silica?
No he literally just added cannabis derived terps or “hte” sealed the jar and left on heat (80 f is good) for several days
