Hi, so I’ve been researching this thread for about two years and understand SOP for most things, but I was wondering how you all went about starting your businesses from start to end and what suggestions you would make to avoid the pitfalls that you encountered when conducting business. I know every situation is different, but I’m sort of looking for advice because I’ve finally come to terms with taking charge to take care of my family, I suppose I’m looking for pointers? I know every state and situation is different but what would you tell the younger self if you had a time machine that you bought off the earth?
Definitely don’t take advice from anyone who hasn’t done what you are trying to accomplish. It’s easy to find advice, but hard to find advice worth a shit. It amazes me the stupid ass advice I hear people word vomit out to anyone who will listen. And use organic ingredients.

Find a less saturated market to enter. You want to take charge to take care of your family not put them in a worse position with a failed business and it’s wasted capital and time that could be better spent.

I’m actually interested in the method, I sort of want this to feed into those type of ventures. I already bought a freeze dryer, heat press, and gorilla tent. I just wanted to get my monies worth out of the equipment I already have because I think I have a mental disability that wont allow me to give up on what I started so I kind of want to see it through to find out where the path takes me. When I said I was ready to take charge I kind of meant I was ready to take the charge* but youre saying I dont have to if I do something else because the market is too saturated? Is that because everyone is kind of selling the same products? Or is that because the market doesnt have any room for new products?
I bought a tent and have been practicing growing cause one time someone sold me fent weed and I never trusted a anyone again but I’ve been branching away from my paranoia because not everyones a shitbag.

If you are just trying to not get dosed, buy lab tested distillate, and mix it into some MCT oil. Going to save thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours versus growing it yourself.
If you are trying to “breakthrough” into the edible space, don’t even bother unless you are bringing something unique to the table. A product you have not seen before. It’s possible. Too many products that look like that scene in Toy Story where buzz lightyear is looking at all the other buzz lightyears on the shelf.

this helps a lot, i haven’t launched because of how much i prioritize quality over quantity. i feel like perfectionism of product is my biggest deterent but it feels like the baseline here unless youre straight up scamming

This is 100% true (almost) …lol
You dont really need to reinvent the wheel to move edibles at scale… you just need to be the best on the block at what you do… It’s nice to have good connections that have good connections… or you can do what we did and put your money where your mouth is… send out your " best in the business product samples" to the biggest companies in that said field. Yeah its likely those samples want get to the person you would like them to endup with (the decision maker). But a few will and that’s all that’s needed. You can always readdress the business that did not respond back in a more personable manìner. Now that you are getting good money. You can build up your own brand… making you 15-20x the money compared to the white labeling gig.
This is a good generalization of what we did/do…
We produce ~10 thousand pounds of gummies every 4-5 weeks currently. And we are looking at methods to double or tripple this amount…
@shattertramp we were making 6 figures per month on CBD gummies prior to what we are doing now… so its absolutely possible to still live the dream… just not likely…lol
