The (not-so) thrilling conclusion:
So me and big hoss go to his trailer and block his driveway by parking in the street this morning. I pull the battery out of my key. We arenāt trespassing and he canāt shoot us. We do this 20 minutes before he has to go to work.
Of course he comes out fuming, cussing and threatening us. Big Hoss calls the po, dispatch hears the utter lunatic screaming in the background thinking someone is going to be killed. When I ran the crackheads public records, I saw he had an outstanding warrant. The cops must have just woken up from their nap, because when his name was mentioned, 2 cars were there in 3 minutes flat and threw him in the cruiser.
Last night, I had driven by the crackheadās place and noticed his truck had a dent in the bumper and a tarp covering a bunch of metal backed in. Lo and behold, my cooking hood was hanging off the side. I pulled the cop aside, said XX partner said he robbed me. I showed him a picture of the paint where he rammed the door that matched his bumper. I had brought the receipt for the hood with me that had the serial number. Got him.
I guess this was the best outcome possible. And now just have a bunch of messes to clean up.

Must have been a power surge. Iām not sure if they were POE or what. They were literally toasted.
Iāve got to take her in to the mechanic and get detailed. Iāll give it another once over, but after last night, EX-partner is probably going to tuck tail and leave the state. I hope he has a nice hangover to remember.
It was his crackhead employee. There are many ways he could have been given or gotten that information.
There are no damages to recover from him. Heāll spend a couple months in the pokey and get out. Thatās not karma. Even doing a Nancy Kerrigan to him wouldnāt start to fix the cleanup, time, paperwork, lost business this has caused . . .
