Ok Guys we kinda getting of topic. Eu flower is trash and gets sprayed and stuff. Cool I get it 
But what is that smell?? Is it something cannabis or even hemp derived?
Don’t get me wrong I love the smell and so does almost everyone else. But before we had variation in smell from imported flower now everything smell the same. The only difference regarding smell is the strength of this smell. That’s the only variation.
My guess was some heavy less volatile terps, esters or other odor compounds

That is more likely wishful thinking on your part.

Don t think you get what I mean
Adulterating is easier when done at scale then a once in a while action
If you achieve to adulterate 1 ton with 5% that’s 50 kg extra profit do the math

The question is than if the smell is the result of tapering with the material than what is/are the compound(s) used? Are they safe? How are they being used to infuse? Solvent?
These are the question that matter not: yeah eu flower is altered. end
I have seen and smelled derived terpens/smell profiles. You have millions of combinations. Why do all the flower end up smelling all the same?
Because it is probably just bottom of the barrel indoor packs that don’t have any additional terps sprayed on.
Hemp is full of terps, but they don’t really smell good.
If this was your original question it wasn’t stated very clearly.
With poor genetics, the plants will tend to move towards a similar smell profile, specifically if (as stated by @Roguelab ) they are all using a similar feeding/nutrient schedule that can impart that flavor.
It’s low quality product, that’s why it all smells the same.

Only way to figure this out is
Get a few samples send to the lab
If it s a terpene profile (ratio) that surfaces in all you have the reason
First thing I’d look at is cannabinoid profile….id confirm d9 thc before looking further.

Testing for terps would be a possibility. Could be also other compound. Most experts claim terps are solo responsible for the smell. But in practice it are the ester odorants that are dominant in determining the smell
Nope there s more to smell and taste than terps esters and flavonoids
But in this case you have to start somewhere

Maybe a clue that could help figure this out is a couple experiments I was doing.
I sprayed flower that was used for extraction to spray non cannabis terp profiles. I also experimented with curring these. I had forgotten about the flower is was curing found one month or so later. Was sealed in jar air tight no light. Room temp. When I opened up the jar it had the exact smell I am trying to identify.
Stupid thing I didn’t make notes and I don’t know what profile it was. Tried again with other but not the same results
If a greatness like you don’t even know what it could be I am afraid this could cost me lots of money. Since everything in eu so fucking expensive.

This is now mostly by container shipping
what I find fascinating is how these different strains with unique smell end up smelling all the same
Ok a little nuance not 100% exact the same but you have to have a sensitive nose to be able to smell the differences. Let’s say they are 95% the same
