I would suggest a real toxicology test is appropriate if we think there are harmful chemicals, done by real toxicology labs. But thats my opinion. Would like to hear what everyone else has to say.
The question people want answered is “Do products in the market have worrisome levels of olivetol, p-cresol, and phthalates in them?” However subjective that might be. We’re not writing regulatory action levels here.
If the scope needs to be expanded then there can be a phase 2 and we’ll raise some funds to send to a tox lab.
I am not a subject matter expert, but can ask my team. But looks like it is against the NIST database for known toxins and chemicals… No one shoot me if I am out of my element here.
“Analysis by GCMS, mass spectral data compared with American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) and Wiley/ National
Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) mass spectrometry libraries.”
I was kind of bringing this up to broaden our search I guess for toxins and chemicals was my main agenda. I can imagine there could be more than 3 potential harmful reactants.
