Preface: We are being blackmailed / threatened by a past customer, I just want to tell my side of the story before speculation goes out.
In October @Soma had purchased some T-Free Distillate from me for some R&D purposes on an R&D project, everything was sent to his lab in Germany and to our knowledge everything was received and up to par.
Another order was placed in December (further assumptions that everything was just fine with the October order), that included other raw materials but also 4kgs of T-Free Distillate.
A few days ago it was brought to my attention by @soma that the material received in October and December was different. Please see the picture below, unsure how this is possible but the distillate that was sent in October looked like isolate and was white and the December order was normal.
We were working to figure out what the issue when things went sideways, I was accused of many things yelled at over the phone and never was given a chance to fix the situation (as I had no idea what the actually happened). Hard to replace an order after 5 months of no issues and all of a sudden there are some.
I wanted to bring this out publicly as @soma had threatened to tarnish my company and my name. We had also forgot 1kg of isolate that we sold to him at 550$ in December and I had offered to replace it / pay him for an issues.
I am willing to help remedy the problem publicly now as I don’t like when people are upset with the products, he refuses to third party test anything to see if there is actually a problem. And insists that I sold him “white” distillate, once again no idea how that is even possible through chromatography.
It’s because of customer claims that I have cameras everywhere (even above my weigh station) and take pictures of the product before it goes out. Yes it takes time. Yes it prevents accusations.
Ill make a short summary here of my previous experience in December.
Each and every point here I can support with relevant documentation
missing customs declaration and tarriff code (UPS tracking shows extensive delays due to supply side documentation that is required when shipping internationally)
missing 1kg of isolate that was not on consignment (three follow ups by email with vendor during subsequent weeks were not responded to)
COA that accompanied distillate on same consignment showed 91% tfree, but product that arrived was 81.8% and would not work in the formulation for which it was intended.
So they are the facts with recent order.
Since then I have
called the vendor to explain situation and request that missing material be sent and that I can return the distillate that did not meet the required specification I needed and was not even close to the COA that preceded it.
out of respect for the vendor with whom I had good rapport, my request for resolution in private was met with sniggering (as if most of a 10k order being missing/unusable/weeks late due to shipping screw ups is actually a fun situation)
I was told that I should contact another company entirely as these products weren’t actually his and he was not in any way responsible.
I made it clear that my preferred way to handle situation was between us, as gentlemen, and that I would prefer not to wash this laundry in public. This was interpreted as a threat, which it wasn’t meant to be. How could I expect to be gaslighted as if I am a fool and for a supposedly Level 3 vendor to shirk all responsibility for a clear amateurish way of doing business.
A few questions…
I have never seen a HONEYGOLD tfree distillate appear in the form of white moonroocks, I was told that this was due to degradation in a 6 week period and this wasn’t actually the vendors product at all but some unknown third party’s product. Has anyone here seen a Tfree in white rocky form like this? Its ironic it be sold in a container called “Honeygold”
It now appears that BretHoneygold just buys and resells product from other labs and doesn’t actually have any control or traceability over the product he is offering. Therefore buying product from him is HIGH RISK as the COA"s distributed pre-sale have no relationship whatsoever with what arrives to the client once shipped.
Finally, if you have a genuine problem of missing product on your order and you ask several times for it to be sent to you, and the order you bought in good faith as a 91% tfree distillate arrives as a 81.8% product that didnt work in your formulation, do you think its reasonable to ask to send it back? This is what I have done and I was met by denial, overreaction, dishonourable shirking of any responsibility and gaslighting.
Usually POLITICIANS who are knee deep in there own corrupt affairs “GET OUT AHEAD” of their own shit as a damage mitigation strategy, but the simple truth is that the conversation included above is the tail end of several days making appeals to this vendor to sort out what was a very badly fulfilled and sub standard product order. I have given ample opportunity for it to be resolved in private and therefore yes, I felt the need to raise the issue here, but I did so only to the moderator Future, to whom I sought advice and asked him how best I should proceed.
Now that this vendor seeks to mitigate the stink of his shocking fulfillment and sheer lack of proper traceability on the product he just resells from other labs, I welcome his public persona doing the right thing and fixing this mess, as clearly over several days in private his attitude was very different that what he may portray as himself to be.
missing customs declaration and tarriff code (UPS tracking shows extensive delays due to supply side documentation that is required when shipping internationally) Package delayed sure, but you did receive.
missing 1kg of isolate that was not on consignment (three follow ups by email with vendor during subsequent weeks were not responded to) Offered refund no paypal address was given
COA that accompanied distillate on same consignment showed 91% tfree, but product that arrived was 81.8% and would not work in the formulation for which it was intended.
[/quote] You tested at someones internal testing lab instead of at botanacor as the COA represents analytical variance is easily 10% which would bring you exactly to 91% - anyone in the CBD field knows this
You cannot claim 5 months after an order it is defective, no one in the right mind would ever believe that / return your product. We do not offer warranties until infinity, if there was an issue once received then you would have been taken care of. Now there is an issue out of the moon from an order from last year. Coincidence I think not. Send me your paypal through PM and I will send you your 1kg of isolate. You received all of your product, otherwise.
We have full CoC on our products, ask for them. Stop making up stuff about my company.
It’s important to mention here that I have limited the issues I mentioned above to one order made in December.
Conflating the problems I had with previous orders is just messy, I just want to convey one shipping experience of
what was ordered
how the process went
what actually arrived (after weeks of delay due to poor shipping practice) and then
the post sale experience of trying to get issues resolved.
I have tried to deal with this in private over this last week with no success.
I was laughed at
Told I was stupid (UPS tracking, missing product and different product arriving than was ordered is hard to side step no matter the gaslighting thrown at me)
Told that the product came from another lab and it was their problem (order invoice and bank details were the vendors)
Four emails have been sent to person who actually ships the product, each and every one ignored, so this last Monday I have reached out to the vendor privately to resolve it.
During the course of the conversations I have had with the vendor some interesting things have come to light, that now he has attempted to “get out in front” perhaps it useful to use this moment to do so.
BretHoneyGold DOES NOT remediate THC, he actually has this work done by some other lab, therefore there is no traceability of the products he is shipping. This is clearly the explanation as to why there is no relationship between the COA’s sent pre sale/arrived with product and what the product actually is.
MCNUTRACEUTICAL is the name of the business and the invoicing party from who he sells product. This business has no website and is not on the map at all, therefore there is no support, no contact info/place to whom to reach out if there is a problem. This gives vendors like this the possibility of simply ignoring a problem, shirking any responsibility and doing everything they can to pass it over onto some other third party, “go speak to them, its nothing to do with me” kind of thing!
Its shocking to think that an apparently reputable Level 3 Vendor cant handle a customer politely asking for days on end for a gentleman’s resolution of simply refunding me inferior/missing product and leaving our account settled in peace. Instead, they get label attempt to resolve privately as threats, assumptions etc.
What am I to do if I feel cheated and have been laughed at other than to raise my issue here on this forum? I have done this, but not in public, I wrote to FUTURE as moderator and asked for advice as to what I should do, not mentioning the vendor by name. I only mentioned the vendor by name to FUTURE two days later when I was told that no refunds would be made and I had to simply accept an inferior product.
Is LMAO a professional response to give to a customer who has an order:
missing customs declaration, tariff code and takes 3+ weeks to arrive (the UPS tracking events shows literally dumb and dumber approach to commercial shipping)
missing product that they show zero desire to respond to multiple emails
we formulated with what was meant to be a 91% distillate, characteristics essential to the formulation complex working, but after trying in good faith, it turns out the product is 10% less than that
extensive chats, phone call and many messages, had in private to find a solution were made in good faith and in the belief that a LEVEL 3 vendor actually stands for something
In a pandemic year, this experience and its significant cost and delays to formulation work that were dependant on trust and products that were actually the same product as we believed we were buying, is no joke!!
Getting out ahead of a problem is plain and simple a damage limitation exercise, but I want to be straight here and tell you, that on balance what I have experienced is simply near impossible to deny as anything other that dumb and dumber amateurish broker behaviour that is labless, passing off reputation as one business but operating from another and worst of all, zero quality control and zero traceability on what is actually sold.
Im beyond pissed off at how attempts over several days have done and this pathetic damage limitation exercise which is simply another means to avoid resolving the issue as requested.
Ive given loads of opportunity to just refund me the missing product and the inferior product that was not what I ordered (coa sent prior and with order totally different).
IM NOT letting this go until sub standard distillate returned and is refunded along with missing isolate.
I want nothing more to do with the vendor and I am NOT going to go quietly.
Future Community, would you accept this drop/ship responsibility-lite practices! the products and the experience were shoddy, I dont want them. I will return them and I want funds returned.
Please note I have been asking this for days privately, giving loads of opportunity for a gentlemans solution, but now im pissed, I WONT have people take my hard earned money and then LMFAO back to me.
third party test, we do not drop ship fyi. Since when is shipping out of a GMP facility, drop shipping. Stop making false claims, test at a third party lab.
I am speaking only about order shipped end DECEMBER.
I will not even go into the clusterfuck of what happened before. Its too long ago I agree.
This chat is limited to DECEMBER order only.
Bear in mid we have been working with material bought in the belief it was what was on its COA, but its totally different and does not work in our formulation complex for which it was intended.
January - can I please have missing product - IGNORED
January - working with distillate received in belief it was as labelled
February - can I have missing product - IGNORED
February - after more lab days working with material (understand lockdown and restricted movement in Germany, our CDMO is on reduced work and limited time), we arrive at impasse
March - can I please have missing product - IGNORED
March - sent material to partners lab in the US, where they show us the wide variance between different batches bought from BRETHONEYGOLD
Yes, its not lighting fast, mostly due to working with material in good faith that is was as intended, and how was labelled.
Thanks for your concern. Time doesn’t alter facts.
