I don’t believe there is “thca hemp”. Can people grow cannabis sativa. Test it super early and it come back high in thca but relatively low thc because the point in its life cycle when it’s low. In all my years of growing I’ve witnessed my plant didn’t pack of the weight and mature trichomes till the last 28 days of its life cycle.
So are hemp people with hemp licenses manipulating the testing to fall within standards in the farm bill creating “thca hemp”. Yes. Who cares. If you’re playing in the grey area. You know the risks. 90% of the people will get away with it. 10% will pay the price.
Fentanyl is a much bigger problem than some people profiting from a loophole and essentially legalizing many forms of cannabis for all. Shit is cheap right now and if you’re buying pure thca for under $1000 a lb. You’re killing it.
Even if you’re cropping super early. Extracting it when the thca is high in the plant. Your still not maximize what the plant can give in terms of weight and potency but who cares if you can end it early. Extract what you want out of it and it stay complaint.
None of this exists without people who all started in black and grey markets. I don’t think anyone argued that. Pretty much everyone here runs from a spectrum of Black market to white market. I think the issue is the lying and making shit up to try and convince people of something that it is isn’t, or that they are doing something that they clearly aren’t. Adding more confusion to a market isn’t a good thing for cannabis.
Also and especially I would like to see how this shit plays out - I’ve talked to a lot of people in the last year who’s lives were upended with the whole hemp thca scam they played with a coin toss. I think all hemp and cannabis products should be treated the same and with less restrictions. I’m not going to try and convince my customers they are buying thca powder from me and call it hemp. That’s just out right lying. It’s not about bending the rules. It’s not about the loopholes. It’s just about the facts plain and simple.

well it might be “considered” hemp in the US if its grown and harvested super early when the thca is high and the thc is low. The overall potency of the plant will be low but if your growing it in acres like hemp… and you getting 11-15% THCa by weight… and its all legal…

At least it can be extracted relatively easy and safe… your not dealing with chemical soaps like d8 and some of these “real hemp” products.

I see tons of marketing around it being different than normal cannabis. Go on Reddit people genuinely think it’s genetically different from normal weed. That’s the issue I have with it. It’s a loophole for people to produce and sell but there is very little if any protection for the end user and many market it like there is which is lame.

Weird irony how you the statement you just made is contradictory of practically everything you have said or have tried to say or suggested. You have numerous confusing and obfuscated responces. Secondly nobody grows hemp to isolate the thca. We know this as a industry fact based on common practices.
So what you are really suggesting is yourself and many others(who are doing the tango) are growing a series of weak cannabis plants of imposed CBD as itself for early testing protocols. And then subverting factual hidden bait and switch, or even just growing cannabis thca plants labeled as thca. For the sole purpose to commercially extract and remove the thca itself.
I would lean to the side where you are too stupid to try and pass off a thca type plant for early testing due to the risk of your crop, so you are growing series of hemp plants and using them on the test to subvert the real crop.
